yay gfuu!! my dad read it to me when i was about 8 and i swear i just zoned out through the full thing. i can't remember anything ahah

i’m in a bit of a reading slump right now so i really hope i get out of it so i can read this :0

oh ok, thanks! i used to have a minor obsession with the line ‘i sense a fowl wind on the air’ or whatever he says
its funny that we're reading this book now cause my friends just recently couldn't believe I hadn't read the hobbit and I was like 'yeah whatever' and lol now here I am
haha, well i had accepted that i was probably (definitely) just never going to read alice in wonderland, and here i am haha
ok so i’m out of my reading slump yayy!! i have three books to finish before i get round to hobbit but i should get them done quickly :)
hoping to borrow a copy of the book off my friend who should be bringing it to school today so I'll be able to start reading soon :)
also he told me that apparently the three movie are based off the one book which isn't even that big! I always thought the books must've been a trilogy or something but nope. thats insane!
so ive finished the first chapter (yes I'm a slow reader lol) and I'm actually pleasantly suprised! i don't really know what I was expecting but it wasn't this. I love the way its written which I dont even know how to describe but just the vibe of it and the whole hobbits and adventures and Bilbo's "Took" side is really fun to read about! what does everyone else think so far?
i actually haven’t started. i’ve had a really hard time reading this past few months so i haven’t even got past page 50 in graveyard book yet :(
ok so i’m so behind and unmotivated to read july and august reads so i will probably wait until next months read instead :)

at the moment from the polls it looks like it will be heartstopper (a graphic novel). if you haven’t voted already go check it out (i’m pretty sure votings still open)

I have so much to read and do not have much motivation. I still think i am gonna read it, but hen i do (really late) can i still talk about it on here?
I'm still slowly trudging my may through the hobbit - i've read a bit over half now. I was enjoying it at the beginning, the whole thing and adventures were really charming although now that I've been reading it for a while it gets kind of repetitive, not in the plot sense because that's really unique but just the whole adventure-trouble-solve it repeat cycle thing. the style of writing is really long-winded with the descriptions. So not to say I haven't enjoyed it on the whole because it is quite a good story but I am finding it hard to motivate myself to pick it up and start reading. I will definitely finish it though because I've gotten this far (and they can finally see the mountain!)
I’ve just recently become a co-mod so hi, i’m eliza if you don’t know me already!
my brother owns this book so i have it already and will be starting is as soon as i finish my current book!
