Is anyone familiar with Xio Axelrod? I just downloaded her book,
, based only on the woman on the cover and the preview on Amazon (which made me love the character I'm assuming is represented on the cover). Anyway, I want to know — before I start reading — if the early promise continues. It's fairly short (117 pages), so I hope it does. Still, I'd like to be prepared...

Xio's a great writer. She's got a novel coming out in May. I read an early draft of her novel and it's great. I'm looking forward to the final version. I think you'll like The Calum.
When Xio told me the idea for it, I knew it would be good. :)

Tea- I really enjoyed that one. Like you, I was arrested by the cover and then, I am not gonna lie, I loved the author's name. Sounds Righteous! LOL.It is very cute, and the writing is also very good. This is the type of IR we want to see being written. It ends in a Happy-For-Now, imo, but I think Kim mentioned on another thread that this is the first in a trilogy? Yes?
Ack! A spoiler!!! Can you cover up that last bit? I just bought the book late last night and had another book to finish before starting. I'm sure I'm not the only one who didn't know — and possibly th hey, at least, didn't want to know — anything about the end. I don't mind knowing what you shared, but....

Or that mentioning it is a possible serial since that is what a lot of people like to know beforehand?
I am kinda confused....
If you had written only that, I wouldn't think it a spoiler. It's specifically the (view spoiler) that I found spoilerish. But, as I wrote, I don't knowing myself, but I know some readers (IRL rather than necessarily here) who would. Maybe I'm being overly cautious, but I feel a responsibility to other readers because I started this thread.
I read The Calum a week or so ago-and to be honest, I was disappointed. TC was so rushed, and there so little info about the H/h that I found it impossible to connect with either of them which in turn made it hard for me to care about their happiness and HEA. Not to mention, the heroine's best friend's flippant attitude about something that caused such conflict in the H/h's relationship annoyed the hell out of me. I think TC would've been much more enjoyable for me if the main characters were fleshed out more.

I think it is a trilogy. I'll double-check with her.
First, wow. A thread about my writing? I'm so thrilled! LOL Whether you enjoyed the novella or didn't, thank you for taking a chance on a new author.Kim's right, it is a trilogy. Without spoiling too much [STOP HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LEARN ANYTHING AT ALL ;) ] I can assure you that my H/h's story won't drag out over the three books. The third focuses on a secondary character and their HEA.
Thanks again, and happy reading!
