Hello friends! I need some help from our wise and learned folks!
I recently read Flyaway which mentions a couple of creepy little things that I'm super curious about! I'm trying to work out if they are legit legends or if they were just made up for the book.
The main one that is talked about is a Megaritty, which is a furred creature with golden eyes and sharp teeth that mimics people. (In fact, now I'm describing it, it reminds me a lot of Oy from King's The Dark Tower, only deadlier) I'm so fascinated by it and I want to know more but a Google search turns up nothing.
There's also mention of something called a Bone Horse, who also doesn't respond well to Google.
The setting is a fictional Australian town, but as far as I know these are not commonly known Australian mythological creatures.
So, can anyone shed any light? If anyone has heard tell of these creatures they've got to be in this group lol
