Latinx Book Club is back for Latinx Heritage Month September 15-October 15. We will be reading By Any Means Necessary by Candice Montgomery along with Latinxathon, Latinx Book Bingo, and Con Sabor Reading Challenge. If joining us on other social media, be sure to use #LatinxLitTakeover.

Thank you for joining us for our group read of By Any Means Necessary by Candice Montgomery for Latinx Heritage Month. Join us every Saturday for discussion questions. This week is all about first impressions.

If you have started the book, what do you think of it so far? Which characters have you been drawn too?

Also, a reminder that Latinx-a-thon will be hosting a Twitter Q&A with Candice Montgomery on October 2nd. If you would like to submit any questions, you can do so by replying to their tweet here.

Reminder that you are welcome to answer any of these questions at any time. We know not everyone has had a chance to pick up the book yet.

Week two questions:

Question 1: Torrey has a very distinct voice and the story very much anchors on how you as a reader relate to him. What are your impressions of him so far? Are you finding it easy to build that connection?

Question 2: College-set YA is still pretty rare. Why do you think Montgomery chose this setting? What kinds of storylines is the author able to explore that they couldn't with a high school setting?
