OMG!!! I Got this a couple months ago and it was AMAZING. It also really spoke to me as a witch. I can’t wait for beast boy to come out. Please let’s discuss!!
Oh, I’m so happy that so far everyone has enjoyed this pick. Apparently they’re releasing a two pack set of this book and Beast Boy’s. I’m happy to hear you enjoyed it! I can’t wait for a discussion this fall! :3
I read Raven today! I really enjoyed it. Here are my thoughts!I love Raven as a cool badass character (especially in Teen Titan Go), but it was really interesting to see a more vulnerable side of her, and to see that from her own perspective. I absolutely love how this book is coloured - the watercolour/greyscale is amazing, and I like how different people's thoughts are presented differently too!
This was my first introduction to the Raven character. I really enjoyed it. There was so much depth to the her that I had no idea about. I only really saw parts of Teen Titans Go, so I got to really understand her. Thanks for choosing this title. I really want to read Beast boy now.
So sorry for the delay in my post. I’ve been trying to adjust myself to my new work schedule, and I’ve been super fatigued when I get home and haven’t really had the chance to share my thoughts on this comic. I know some people have been really enjoying Raven, and many have learned a lot from this story. Please share some of the things you’ve learned! :)Raven is one of my favorite DC Comics characters, and while this is definitely a comic geared towards younger readers, it was super enjoyable! I think the characters are really relatable as well. It was definitely a cute, interesting adaptation of Raven’s origin story.

Our September reading challenge will be starting on September 14th and we will be reading "Teen Titans: Raven," by Kami Garcia. Raven is one of my favorite DC Comics characters, and I've been wanting to read this graphic novel for a while, so I figured why not we all read it together? I think that fans of any comic book genre (and our YA lit fans) will really enjoy this book. I've been told it has a very YA feel. We can use this thread to discuss the book as we read, but please mention if there will be spoilers in your post as a common courtesy for other readers. I know these are unprecedented times, so if you're having issues ordering the book due to finances please reach out to me!
Happy reading, everyone! <3
