Yep, and it looks like the animation isn't that bad. I lie the idea of it based inthe Arrow/Flash universe. That means that for the things that they cant do inthe real life series, that can do animated and still make reference to it the real life shows.I can just see Oliver talking to his cohorts inthe Arrow cave and just mentioning about this new woman that seems to have some new powers being sighted in a certain city or maybe even passing by in Starling city. The ideas that can be instituted into these shows that way are endless. Any character can be name-dropped inthe real series. I like the idea.
Sounds great then, they are a lower budget network but gives shows more of a chance to grow an audience
Not sure how I feel about connecting a cartoon to the TV universe. Think it'd be much cooler if the third TV show wasn't another white guy. But, at the same time, it's cool that we finally get a DC cartoon that isn't Batman/Superman.
I like Vixen, so I'm happy she's getting a chance to be the next big character, but not sure if this counts as having a solid plan.
No not a solid plan but a path to engaging the idea of other named heroes into the CW/DC universe. once mentioned that say in the Flash or Arrow that a certain hero or heroine was seen doing something or what ever, it know makes that name an actuality and something that now exists in the universe for them and us.It gives them more of a chance to flesh out another character to bring forward into the real world as we know it . Its all good.
CW Network Announces Animated Black DC Comics Heroine Vixen Serieshttp://newsone.com/3083251/vixen-dc-c...
So, Vixen has a release date and talk of episodes guest starring Flash and Green Arrow.Be cool if this lead us to a JLA cartoon, as I don't have much faith in the movies.
Would also be cool if they could do a live action Vixen for the TV shows.
there is talk of it but they want to do the animated shows as a direct connection to the arrow verse first.I saw an extended trailer of it, with both arrow and the flash with their respective voices showing up for the first episode. It cements Vixen into the DC/CWverse and opens up for introducing other heroes or villains animated before bringing them to life it the live action shows.
Is this show still going on?Has their been any other news about there possibly being a live action Vixen?
And does anyone else think 'live action vixens' sounds like a good title for a 70's exploration kung-fu movie...?
Good to hear.Haven't had a chance to watch the cartoon, but was hoping they'd do a live action version,
CW seems to be building a better JLA than the movies.
well vixen has already shown up in last season's arrow but now she will be part of the legends series.
I think once the JLA film comes out we are going to be totally wowed by it, I like to think that since DC has a multiverse then the cwverse and the DCEU are both different multiverses. so they can both exist on a different level no matter how good or bad they are. Personally Ive liked everything that DC has pretty much put out. I like marvel as well but too totally different feels to them.
Yeah, I think we've had this chat before, but nothing in the DC movies has wowed me. At best I'd say I've reached 'mildly interested'.I much prefer the TV stuff.
Shame the TV universe seems to be unable to use the Justice League name, as a JLA where the core is Arrow, Flash and Supergirl really has my interest.
You never know what's going to happen Travis. They weren't even allowed to use Superman physically but now they can. From what I heard, the DC arrowverse can use almost any character they want right now with a few exceptions. I'm not sure which exceptions there are, but carte blanc is a good thing.
Apparently they put a bunch of the episodes together into a Vixen movie.Pretty good.
Like the design on Vixen and the actress.
Really like her Dad.
Being that this all started as episodes it does make for a choppy movie, but it was fun seeing animated Arrow, Flash and Cisco.
Her rogues gallery is pretty bland, but I like most of the supporting cast.
Good stuff.
