Silvia's Reading Challenge Plan [FINISHED!]

I just finished with my 33rd book and I can't believe I have reached this point. I am done even with two of the categories I was not looking forward (based on a true story and Non Fiction) and I enjoyed them a lot. I don't know if I will manage to complete the challenge, but I'm very happy with what I have achieved so far :)
My biggest problem is "a book that makes me cry" and never imagined that could happen because I cry with almost all the books I read, but since I began the challenge I cried with the first book (my color in the title book) but none after that :( just a little water in my eyes: but that's not crying! Not according my parameters :D. I hope I cry with the books I am reading now: The Blood of Olympus and Nobody's Boy... or else... I don't know!
I didn't cry with any of them :( Nobody's boy almost make it, but not really. So I'll check Nobody's boy as a book of more than 100 years and I'll try with another book for make me cry.
Ooh, I can recommend two that I've read this year that made me cry - and I'm talking big, fat, ugly, snotty tears. The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly
The Little Prince
And they're both shorties too, so even if you don't cry they won't take up too much time!

Thanks for the suggestions! Actually I have already read The Little Prince twice, so I'm going to look for the one of The Hen :)
I just finished with a "Book that became a Movie" ... actually a lot of the books I have read in this challenge could be in that category :P But I think The Martian was a good choice :)
Jody wrote: "That book is fairly high on my TBR wish-list - it seems like everyone is really enjoying it!"I enjoyed it a lot, although I was sometimes tempted to skip the parts with a lot of science , but I never did because I knew that in the most unexpected moment the protagonist would make some funny comment that would relieve stress :D I hope you enjoy it too.
I have just began with The Exorcist, so now is a fact: I had to stop reading "IT" :( I will read it, someday, but definitely I can't continue with it in this challenge.I finished with The Last Guardian for non human characters, it was OK, but not the best of Artemis Fowl :S I will miss him, because this was the last of the series :'(
I really enjoyed The Exorcist so hopefully you like it :)
It was very unsettling especially at the beginning and it's one of those classics that I'm glad I can say I read

That movie scared the crap out of me, and I really hope that once I get around to reading the book that it does the same!
This was unexpected, I cried with the end of The Exorcist! even though I knew what was going to happen :PIt turned out a little scary, but mostly I found it disturbing. Now I 'm going to read my book to cry and if I end up not crying, well I have my scary book to replace it hahaha
I have just started with The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4 by Sue Townsend for "a book written by a author with your same initials" category... I didn't like the beginning of the book, I thought it was horrible and insensitive, but now I am laughing with it.Couldn't find the book The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly for "to make me cry", so I am reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close... still not crying, but I still have half the book pending to read, so maybe :P
Extremely Loud and Incredible Close... it's taking me so long to read :( I am not sure if I like this book or not, it's very peculiar and sometimes it's difficult for me to understand it.I have just started Dead Ever After for my book with bad reviews, I am pretty sure I know why this got so many bad reviews, but I am enjoting it :)
Nop ... not crying and I finished with my "a book that makes you cry", this was my last try, so I guess that's it.
The problem with waiting so long before to continue reading a series is that I cannot remember the details :( I am reading Dead Ever After, the last volume on Sookie Stackhouse series, and I'm struggling to remember what exactly happened with Arlene at the end of the previous volume :S
Book with bad reviews: Done! ... and I actually liked it :) Eight books left ... eight weeks left Hmmm I am still not sure if I will make it.
I am almost finishing with The Fury third one in The Vampires Diaries for my category of Love Triangle, but it didn't feel so much as a triangle in this part :SWinter is coming out this week and I want to read it sooooo much, so I need to choose in which categories could this fit, I am still pending with A memoir, a play, a place I want to visit, a childhood book, a classic romance, a book that takes place in my country, and a book I started and never finished... so which could it be Hmmm ... maybe I would like to visit the moon ... or maybe a romance between a cyborg and a prince could be considered as a classic romance ...
As you are a proud member of this group and we like to use the challenge as we wish, we decided that week 2 is a romance (modern or classic, as members prefer). So you can put Winter there ;)
Silvia wrote: "or maybe a romance between a cyborg and a prince could be considered as a classic romance"What could be more classic than a royal robot romance? :D

Right!!!
I just finished with Norwegian Wood for the category of "a book set in a country a want to visit" (Japan)... it was sad, so sad :'(Now: four books left! :)
Althought I never read Charlotte's Web when I was a child, just to think about Charlotte and Wilbur brings memories of my childhood, so that was my choice and loved it! Three books left :)
Oh, I'm reading Norwegian Wood at the moment, and I'm getting that feeling too. It's really affecting me, I love it.
Jody wrote: "Oh, I'm reading Norwegian Wood at the moment, and I'm getting that feeling too. It's really affecting me, I love it."I know, I could feel the loneliness, I felt depressed at first, but then I just felt sad :(
I finished Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children !!! It was my category of a book I never finished and really, really I would never have finished it without the motivation of this challenge :(Two books left!
Being a so slow reader as I am, I know it's not a good idea to read Winter and its 824 pages so near of the end of the challenge, but I couldn't wait to read it! First 80 pages and I am enjoying it so much!
With only 2 books left (if I counted well) and one compelling, it seems a totally reasonable decision :)
I challenged myself to continue the Miss Peregrine series next year, as the 1st was ok. I hope it will improve, if not I won't read the 3rd!
I liked less Prodigy than Legend, it's fun to see it's the reverse for you :)

You counted well :) Actually Legend is separated in two parts and I loved the first one, but I didn't like the second one, so that's why Prodigy was better, at least the story had consistency. If Legend were just the first part (the one that finish with the big tragedy at Day's house), definitely I would prefered Legend. But as I mentioned before, the second half of Legend was a little bit dissapointing.
