Evanassa stalked into the room with her head held high. She didn't even pause before whirling her wand on a dummy, turning it into a shrub. She turned on another, jinxing it to grow leaves all over, and fired a rapid succession of explosive spells onto the targets lined across the walls, hitting each bulls-eye with a blast. She moved across the room silently, slinging nonverbal spells point-blank until she'd demolished half of the practice sets. Because of the set of her wand, it didn't produce "flamboyant" spells, as Ollivander had called them. Her spells were quick, discreet, and struck without warning.

She stopped in the center of the room, her dark green eyes scanning the walls and floor. Every target was hit, either Jinxed or destroyed in the center. Every dummy was toppled, in pieces, or otherwise Cursed. Every single obstacle in the room was hit and undone in some way - Transfigured, bound, destroyed. Good. She'd done it all silently - today was a silent day. One of the days where she didn't say a single incantation, in order to improve her nonverbal skills further. Evanassa swept her wand around the room, Repairing it all until it seemed untouched. I'm going to need better power before I find them, she thought, unsatisfied. It was never enough. She swept out of the room, her glossy dark hair flowing behind her.
