✓ Did you find it fun or was it more of a chore to complete?
This year I had a blast participating in the RaT.
✓ Is this your first time participating in a Read-a-Thon? If so, would you participate again or was once enough? If not, how did this year's RAT compare?
This was my 5th RaT. I really enjoy these and this year's was a lot of fun.
✓ Did you choose RAT books in advance? If so, were you able to read all of the books you'd set aside? Did you find yourself straying from your chosen books and reading more based on mood or another reason?
I started with a list of books but that list quickly fell by the wayside and I read a bunch of other books. Some for challenges and some just for fun.
✓ Did you have a favorite reading spot?
This time I mostly read either in my bed or my porch swing, enjoying the last of the good weather.
✓ Did you find it difficult to stick to your reading schedule? If so, how'd ya overcome it?
I did not have trouble sticking to a reading schedule this year since I went with shorter blocks. The last couple of years I have done large chunks of time (8-24 hours) and those were harder. This year was just fun.
✓ Did you discover a new series, author or genre?
I read a book by Timothy Ellis and fell right down the rabbit hole, completely disrupting my planned reading. I don't know what it is about this series, but it sucked me in quickly and I had a hard time reading anything else. It's a space opera and not great literature, but I really, really enjoyed the characters.
✓ Did you read alone or with partner?
alone
✓ Which book format(s) did you use for your RAT? Audio, Paperback/Hardcover (DTB), or eBook OR did you use a mix of formats?
only kindle
