One Point Tasks
1.1 AT THORNFIELD HALL
Read a book whose Author's LAST initial is in the word BERTHA.
BONUS POINT:
Read a book whose Author's FIRST initial is the word ADELE.
(MUST be read after the original task is done).
1.2 RELAXING IN A HAMMOCK
Read a book in a genre that relaxes you. LIST GENRE.
1.3 COLORFUL FALL LEAVES
Complete one of the following tasks:
BONUS POINT (BP): You can choose a second leaf.
a. AMERICAN BEECH
Read a book with a predominately (50%+) BROWN cover (show cover).
b. NORTHERN RED OAK
Read a book with a predominately (50%+) RED cover (show cover).
c. AMERICAN SYCAMORE
Read a book with a predominately (50%+) ORANGE cover (show cover).
d. SLIPPERY ELM
Read a book with a predominately (50%+) YELLOW cover (show cover).
e. WHITE ASH
Read a book with a predominately (50%+) PURPLE cover (show cover).
1.4 SEPTEMBER: 9th MONTH OF THE YEAR
Choose ONE of the following tasks:
a. Read a book with a 9 in its page count (e.g. 409, 296, 390, etc....).
b. Read a book published in SEPTEMBER (any year).
c. Read a book published in a year with a 9 (e.g. 2009, 1979, 2019, etc....) STATE YEAR
1.5 THE POWER OF ONE WORD
September's word is FRIEND (S)
Read a book with the word FRIEND(S) in the title -OR- the word in the text. (List page# & give sentence that the word is in).
1.6 READING THROUGH THE ALPHABET:TITLES
Read a book that starts with the LETTER C (exclude A, An, The).
BONUS POINT (BP): You can read a second book.
1.7 (Linda C's task) AUTUMN SEASON
Read a book with the word AUTUMN or FALL (referring to the Season) in the title -OR- that has the word AUTUMN in the text (give us the sentence and location).

2.1 WHEEL OF FORTUNE
Read 2 books
Wheel of Fortune is a time-set task. You have a week to choose & display your books before the wheel is spun and than it will be closed.

2.2 SEPTEMBER HOLIDAYS
Read 2 books
Complete two of the following tasks:
a. TEDDY BEAR DAY (9/9)
Read a book that has the following letters B-E-A-R in its title.
b. GRANDPARENT'S DAY (9/13)
Read a book whose main character (MC) is a grandparent.
c. NATIONAL PLAY DOH DAY (9/16)
Read a book whose (MC) is 10 years old age or younger.
d. INTERNATIONAL TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY (9/19)
Read a book whose Author's FIRST & LAST name initials are in the word PIRATE - OR - a character is a pirate.
e. NATIONAL COMIC BOOK DAY (9/25)
Read a graphic novel.
2.3 (Susan's task) DOG SHOW - SHOW OFF YOUR DOGS
Read 2 books
1. Read a book with an adult dog on the cover (show cover) -OR- with a sentence about an adult dog (List page# & give sentence that the word is in).
2. Read a book about a puppy on the cover (show cover) -OR- with a sentence about a puppy (List page# & give sentence that the word is in).
2.4 (Linda C's task) HUMOR BOOKS
Read 2 books
We all could use a little humor at this time.
Read 2 books from this list HUMOR BOOKS -OR- tagged HUMOR at less 5 times.
Three Point Task
3.1 (Susan's task) BOTTOMS UP - REACH WAY DOWN
Read 3 books
Read the three bottom books from your to-be-read stack(s).
If you have a TBR shelf, read the three books that have been there the longest.
Five Point Task
5.1 FALL FLOWER GARDEN
Read 5 books
Spell-out one of the ALL-CAPPED flowers below:
