Here, you can ask for recommendations for any books, if you want to! You can also comment about your monthly goals, and copy/paste a symbol to indicate that you've done it by editing your comments. The symbol: ✔️

Oooh, there are many! Have you tried any Enid Blyton? People say they are kiddish, but they are not. I love her books!

Minerva (mm0808) | 48 comments Do you like old classics? If so, I'd really recommend Little Women. It's about 4 sisters during the civil war. Don't worry, it's not boring;)

Minerva (mm0808) | 48 comments I KNOW RIGHT!!! I finally meet another Little Women fan! *cries with joy*

message 8: by Avery (new)

Avery (babeofbooks) | 6 comments ooo I wanna hop in on this little women conversation, I love that book with my whole heart! Also, there are many classic stories that are amazing. I'd definitely recommend Frankenstein for a Gothic, dark read. It is truly great!

Oh, I've many. There's Hunger Games (ofc), The Infernal Devices, and then some Meluha books about Indian Mythology. I guess you've read THG but if you're looking for a reread so :)

Well, my all time favourites are Pride and Prejudice ( obviously ) and Emma!! ( yes, I am a Jane Austen fan!! Should we have a word for some author's fans?? :D )
Apart from Austen there's To Kill A Mocking Bird and Mrs. Dalloway. :))

Hmm. I don't know if you'll like it, considering your classic preferences, but you can try Sherlock Holmes. I love it <3

books similar to Keeper of the Lost Cities?

Ayesha the whole community of her readers is called the Austen Cult (which sounds really scary tbh 😅), but I prefer the sweeter one, Austen Girl <3

Ana | 1006 comments Mod
And Natalie you should definitely try Jane Austen. Her classics are beautiful and thought provoking and emotional and intense all at once, but they are pretty light compared to some heavier works as I've heard. (like Jane Eyre!)

Nikki I haven't read keeper of lost cities, but just recommending you throne of glass anyways cause it's freaking awesome 😇

The Falling Kingdom series by Morgan Rhodes has some good snow parts. It’s one of my favorite series!

Who do you mean by you? Because I got what you mean (as discussed before, I ALWAYS get what you mean :))

message 34: by Ana, aka Aelin Whitethorn :) (new)

Ana | 1006 comments Mod
Since me and Ayesha were talking I was referring to her, but "you" can refer to all you three mods, who would experience my intense fangirling sessions over "Andrew" in the mods groups :D
And yeah, Aj, you do always get what I mean, no matter how weird it is <3

Any Jennifer Niven books, but my favorite has to be breathless ❤️
If you end up reading it, I'd love to know your thoughts!

message 45: by Jace (new)

Jace (jace_is_reading) Hey ya'll. Okay so, I want to give Cassandra Clare a try, but I wanted your guys thoughts on this: should I start with City of Bones or could I start with Clockwork Angel? In all honesty Clockwork Angel sounded more interesting to me. But I'm down with reading the whole thing I just don't want to buy the wrong book if I don't have to read them in that order, ya know?
