Welcome everyone to our October- December 2020 Quarterly Long Group Read; this quarter we'll be reading through The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.

I read this book earlier this summer so I won't be joining this quarterly long read. It's a great book though and I really hope you all will enjoy it as much as I did.

I'll be joining in on this one! I honestly don't know what to expect from this book, but I've heard it mentioned quite a bit in the past, so thought it would be fun to give it a go. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm joining this read. I have had this book since a long time but never got around to it. It will be my first book by this author.

I'll be joining. Honestly, the length of this book kind of terrifies me and that's why it's been on my shelf since July of 2014 but all the group reads are encouraging me to finally cut down my TBR :) I hope I like it.

I've read The Secret History, her first novel. It was good, dragged in some places but you could tell the author was just on the verge of a great novel. I've heard good things about The Goldfinch and it won the Pulitzer so it sounds like she has achieved the great in this one. Looking forward to reading it.

I joined the group to start reading outside my normal. This looks like a great example.

This is my first book by her. So far, I'm enjoying it. There is a lot of information to take in but it has flowed nicely so far.

I am joining, for my first time read of this. Have read The Secret History, by same author, which i thought was excellent and will likely re-read (rare for me). Looking forward to this one.

I'm listening to the audiobook and just joined this group the other day. Great coincidence! I'm finding it a bit drawn out but the characters are interesting so far

The goldfinch is a novel that I would never have decided to read if not for this club. quite frankly....the length terrifies me lol. I have decided to read this as an audiobook, and hope to get through it. happy reading everyone! :)

I will join as well this month 🙂. I usually try to avoid such huge books, but since we have the quarter category I thought of giving it a try.

I know this one tends to be a pretty polarizing book with people either absolutely loving it or not even being able to get through it. I started not too long ago and it feels like I blinked and 200 pages went by so I'm thinking I will fall into the former camp!
