Makani's relationship with Ollie is a major part of this book. How do you feel about his reputation with the other students? Do you think it was right for Makani's friends to suspect him in the murders and warn her to stay away from him?

Michelle | 14 comments It's a small town and gossip spreads at the speed of light. Without much to do around a small town gossip is a staple in peoples lives. I think Makani and her friends were right to be wary of Ollie and is intentions toward Makani because of his reputation, but that does not mean they should suspect him of murder. To me nothing about his reputation sent up red flags that he was a murderer.

Katelin | 33 comments I didn't have any suspicions about him. It seemed too obvious for him to be the culprit. I also just liked him right from the start. Just because he has a rough past and doesn't really fit in doesn't make him automatically evil.
