This was not at all what I expected. Bernadette doesn't really disappear until near the end.

I also wasn't ready for the heavy (view spoiler)[(pregnancy) hiccup between Elgin and someone else. (hide spoiler)] That was pitiful.

A little over halfway through and it has taken a turn darker than I was expecting!

The whole story was different than I expected! I did enjoy it, but was surprised.

I can easily see the format of this book making it difficult to stay invested.

Yes, as soon as I am done. My wife read this book a few years ago, so we are looking forward to watching it together.

I'm gonna say it. This format was ewwww. The way the author just summarizes everything through e-mails and messages seems a little lazy because it doesn't require actual exposition or narrative development. Nor, does it allow for actual character development either.

And the ending?! Eyeroll.

HA! Yeah - I can easily see feeling this way. I am glad I got 3 stars out of it, but this response is not surprising!
