Discuss the story here

Kandice | 944 comments This was not at all what I expected. Bernadette doesn't really disappear until near the end.

I also wasn't ready for the heavy (view spoiler) That was pitiful.

A little over halfway through and it has taken a turn darker than I was expecting!

The whole story was different than I expected! I did enjoy it, but was surprised.

I can easily see the format of this book making it difficult to stay invested.

It's all good, Sara! Maybe the next book, or maybe the one after that. Whenever you get to one, we will be here to discuss if you want!

Kandice | 944 comments Is anyone planning on watching the movie? I plan on trying this weekend.

Yes, as soon as I am done. My wife read this book a few years ago, so we are looking forward to watching it together.

Richard (rsquaredreads) | 178 comments I'm gonna say it. This format was ewwww. The way the author just summarizes everything through e-mails and messages seems a little lazy because it doesn't require actual exposition or narrative development. Nor, does it allow for actual character development either.

And the ending?! Eyeroll.

HA! Yeah - I can easily see feeling this way. I am glad I got 3 stars out of it, but this response is not surprising!
