ᴄᴀᴍᴘ ᴇʟᴅᴇʀʙᴇʀʀʏ ꜰᴏʀ ᴇᴛʜᴇʀᴇᴀʟ ~ ꜱᴇᴍɪ-ᴅᴇᴛᴀɪʟᴇᴅ discussion

As you enter through the front doors of the Great House, a large, grand staircase greats you. The floors are shiny, polished wood, and little tables with potted plants surround the entrance to various rooms. The grand staircase leads to the other floors of the house, with include guest rooms, bathrooms, and other mysterious places. Does everything look a little too clean and perfect to you, or is that only me? No? Ok...

A huge Christmas tree is being set up to the right of the entrance. Ladders are arranged around the tree, with boxes of ornaments scattering the floor. Garland and lights are strung up along the railing of the staircase, and mistletoe hangs above the stairs. Candles sit on small tables, and the little plants have tinsel hanging on them. A wreath is on the front door, as well as hanging above the entrances to the other rooms. Boxes of presents from Mrs. Thelma to all the counselors and staff sit awaiting in the side living room, ready to be placed carefully under the tree once the decorating is done.

Maya: A gray hoodie with a cartoon cat on it. The cat is all black and it’s eating a chocolate chip cookie with its eyes closed. The hoodie is light gray and it has a single connected pocket in the front.
Mabel: A box of chocolate chip cookies
Aurora: A large paint kit
Lochlyn: $300 to buy a swimsuit
Sabre:At first ((Secret Santa)) had looked up Sabre’s Healthcare donation thing. It was pretty simple, so he donated 50 bucks to the Healthcare. Then a quick trip to the nearest store produced a large Christmas mug that had a funny saying on it and almost 10 packs of cards.
Fallon: Chocolate and a small robot with a controller
Mazo: A huge bag of chocolates
Rowan: A black sleeveless cloak with a hood
Phoebe: The Fellowship of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien

Luna: A DIY kit to make pressed flower resin necklaces and jewelry, along with a pair homemade rainbow colored knit gloves.
Althea: A sky-blue beanie with the words “leave me alone” embroidered in black
Satomi: A silver charm bracelet along with a blue gemstone charm and a charm she made herself that’s actually a tiny music box (that actually works)
Kai: A written letter and a forest green sweater
Raelynn: A bag of holiday ground coffee, a mug with some cactuses on it, and a small green succulent with a spiky orange cactus
Abigail: A stack of like six books, along with a few chocolate bars
Harlow: A silver snowflake earring, a little Olaf earring, and gold moon earrings; a bag of flour

Helpers walked in and looked over all the gifts, making sure they all had only the name of the recipient on them. There were a few gifts for various staff members and counselors under the tree as well. A small table was covered in a red and green tablecloth and piled with brownies, cookies, and candies. Another table had mugs of coffee, cocoa, and hot tea. Pillows were scattered across the floor in around the hug Christmas tree, which was all lit up, for the children to sit on during the gift exchange. A fire blazed in the side room and jolly holiday music played lightly in the background.

Luna had went to get a few brownies, but then sat down and she had gotten her gift. She wanted to open it. She also didn’t want to. She opened it to find gloves, that fit her just right, and a DIY necklace kit. She gasped, not too loudly, and she smiled brightly. I can’t wait to make new necklaces, and bracelets! she thought happily. She held the gloves close to her chest and murmured “Thank you.”

Hey Natalie, I am a bit busy so can we try to delay Mazo and Ado's parts?)

Mabel walked into the room and smiled, handing her jacket to one of the helpers waiting inside the door. She turned towards the door behind her and waited for Lochlyn to catch up. The smell of baking gingerbread tickled her nose and she hummed along with the song playing.

Mazo and Ado sat down, Mazo was dragging a cart, she had put together a generic gift thing for everybody excluding the one she got the santa for, that one is special. Ado had snacks and his wrapped up gift.

Lochlyn had to jog slightly to keep up with her. How is she so fast! When he got to the main hall, he was slightly suprised by how clean everything was. It was almost like it was hiding something, but he decided not to look too far into it. "So," He said. "I'll bring this to the tree . . ." He looked around slightly, holding the present in his hands upright. He never turned it over, which he hoped didn't give away what it was.

Mabel scrunched her eyebrows up at the strange way he was carrying the gift, but shrugged, forgetting about it in a few seconds. She grabbed a piece of berry creme chocolate and sat on one of the pillows scattered around the floor. Her legs were bouncing as she watched everyone taking their seats and bringing in gifts.

Lochlyn noticed Mabel sit down on the pillow, but decided he would put the present under the tree before sit down as well. He found the tall tree and was instantly mesmerized. It was huge and as green as the enchanted forest, with golden and white lights shimmering on the branches. There were silver bells hung on the leave covered branches, jingling with the smallest move. At the top of there was a twinkling bright gold star, sparkling like a diamond. Moving his eyes away from it, he carefully set the frisbee shaped present on top of another tall, rectangular shaped box. He hoped that it wouldn't get squished and started walking back. "Its amazing." He said aloud, glancing at the tree again as he left for the pillows on the floor.

Abigail walked in and looked around, brushing snow out of her hair. She spotted the table of drinks and grabbed a cup of coffee, then took some brownies and sat down on a pillow next to the tree. The cup of coffee warmed her cold hands as she held it, staring up at the Christmas tree

Mabel got up and grabbed a cup of hot mint tea. She sat back down and crossed her legs, kicking off her snowy boots. She sighed and put the tea mug under her face, relaxing after the events earlier that day. She was excited yet a little nervous about the Secret Santa. Mabel couldn't really explain the nerves, whether they be about the gift she was giving or the gift she was receiving.

Amit would walk in tracking Lochlyn with navigation, He'd spot Lochlyn doing something, Amit couldn't tell because his mind was blurred by his own thoughts, He'd walk up to Lochlyn and would ask him "I found this, what should I do with it?" as he pulled the gun out showing him.

Lochlyn blinked at him as he pulled out the gun.
Silence.
After the second of shocked silence he finally spoke. "WHAT THE HELL DUDE WHERE DID YOU EVEN GET THIS!!" He yelled in shock, snatching the gun away. "THIS IS DANGEROUS!!" Lochlyn used his free hand and put it to his forehead. THE HECK!!

Amit gave Lochlyn an oblivious look as Lochlyn snatched the gun and would say "B-but I worked hard to get it..." ((Not)) He would try to grab it back from him.

Mabel's eyes widened as she took in the sight of the gun. "What...why do you have that?" she asked, the panic evident in her voice. The previous night had been overly stressful, with Mazo's gunfire and the Strogi attacking the cabin, and the sight of the gun brought the memories flooding back. She clutched her tea, her knuckles white, as she watched them speak.

Amit would say while sighing, "I found it." He was trying to get it back then he noticed Mabel's reaction he paused then he continued trying to get it back.

Lochlyn raised the gun high above his head so that he couldn't reach it, irritated but also worried about him. "FOUND IT WHERE?" He demanded, Not knowing if it was unloaded or not, he carefully held it so that he didn't press the trigger, but clenched it harder as he noticed Mabel tighten her grip on her tea.

Mabel felt the room grow tense as Lochlyn raised the gun. She was terrified that it would go off and hurt someone. She sat her tea down hard on the floor, spilling drops over the wood. She stood and tried to rush over, but just stood frozen in place. "Hey! Hey, calm down, guys!" she said, her voice straining as she imagined what could happen if the gun was indeed loaded and went off in the room.

Amit would step back, his eye widening as he raised the gun. When Mabel stood up spilling the tea, his mind was blurred again. "I-I uh...Found it in the... Cabin." He said quietly with his breathy tone.

((Listen never leave weapons near kids people it's dangerous lol))

Lochlyn sighed and lowered his arm. "Do you know what this is?" He said, worry seeping through his voice. He could've gotten himself killed . . .

((Hmmm let's head towards more than friends, but take it really slow?? It drives me crazy when people jump right into things like that in roleplays because it's just not realistic. Mabel is the kind of person who flirts with people but doesn't let herself grow overly close very easily; she's afraid of being replaced and I guess you could say has some trust issues. Maybe some event happens that pulls them closer? ))

Mabel breathed out a sigh of relief when the gun was lowered. She was still concerned it would go off, but now was more curious than anything. "You found it in the cabin? What cabin?" she asked, trying to remember when Amit had disappeared to after they all met up at the festival.

((Yeah, I usually slow burn it so that one character has a crush but the other person either 1. doesn't reciprocate feelings 2. is an oblivious idiot 3. Is teasing the character by being oblivious, or lastly, 4. the character is oblivious because said character is hiding feelings. Needless to say, my character relationships usually are very slow if not the the point of banging your head on the table. Also, I love those ideas! Alright Lochlyn, now just deny your feelings for the next 5 months (that was a joke)))

Amit would stiffen a bit and would say "I'm not an idiot... I know what it is...." He held Zoey closer and looked at Lochlyn with his grey eyes. His breathing stopped for a minute to collect his thoughts.

Lochlyn's brown eyes narrowed. "What is it then?" He said, crossing his arms, the gun still dangling from his grasp.

Amit snapped out of it when he heard Mable ask the question, I shouldn't tell them it said do not touch in the first place... Maybe I shouldn't listen to Zoey anymore.. Amit thought then said vaguely "I don't remember." ((That's a lie you have navigation you dummy))
