Ellipsis Book Group discussion

Just started reading BtBF and I'm finding it intriguing so far... I know it's a non-fiction book, but only because I knew in advance...the prose style reads like a fiction, which is interesting.

I really want to know if the author is going to make an appearance, or if it's just the story of people she encountered without any reference to her own experiences in Mumbai...

I finally got going on it last night. Really enjoying it so far, although the author occasionally goes for the grandstanding, perfect literary sentence and they read a bit awkwardly.
