Euriel | 256 comments I loved this book so much

Kash Ilyas | 4 comments Just went and re read chapter 55 ;) I actually think that I like chapter 54 more than chapter 55 because it’s filled with so much emotion and love and heartbreaking at the same time like Jesus christ Rhysand went through a whole load of shit the poor guy, acomaf has to be my favourite book out of the books it’s just amazing the plot build to the ENDING is just amazing and yeah it’s absolutely my favourite book out of the many many books I’ve read in my lifetime :)

message 10: by Dmi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dmi (deadlyshadowhunter) | 61 comments This is literally the only book that I've read so many times and still have an emotional roller coaster by the end of the book, like I'm not ok.

Suchi (emotionallyunstablebookaholic) | 1 comments The TENSION between Feyre and Rhys is real. I'm expecting a BIG payoff.

sambhavi❦ (sambhavibihari) ACOMAF is definitely my favorite book in the series!!

message 13: by Dmi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dmi (deadlyshadowhunter) | 61 comments Definitely, the tension between Rhys and Feyre, the flirting and the development of their relationship was a whole emotional roller coaster that I continue to ride.

summerbooks | 1 comments I love this book. It’s my comfort read. I love all the characters and their arcs throughout the book and the entire series. I live the way we see Feyre struggle and survive through her PTSD and depression and I think that SJM handled it really well.

RukhsarReads | 2 comments Just an amazing book! I loved ACOTAR but ACOMAF just hits home for me, a comfort read and definitely 5/5. Still yet to read ACOWAR- super excited for it.

Lauren | 208 comments Does anybody understand the new cover for this? I don't see how it relates to content at all. Is it meant to be the Attor???

☀︎El In Oz☀︎ (elinoz) | 724 comments Mod
Help that was my question 😭
Like there are no ravens in ACOMAF. Truly idk what they meant by it

ME TOOOO ugh it was just so great

Asreadingcorner | 1 comments I just finished reading it and I’m still in awe. I thought the character development of Rhysand was incredible and I just loved the entire build up, despite it being so frustrating in waiting for it to happen! I’ve ordered the next two in the series so can’t wait to read them!!

Kaitlyn (kaitlyntbr) | 2 comments I finished the book about a week ago and when I tell u it was one of the best books I have ever read. I am a complete fool for R+F and can’t wait to see what the future brings for them! I am over halfway through ACOWAR. It’s amazing and I would recommend!!!!!!

Euriel | 256 comments I fell in love with Rhys after Chapter 54. The poor darling. Idk what it is about ACOTAR but I never get over my emotions for this book.

Holly May (hollymaynisbet) | 5 comments Acomaf is by far one of my favorite books I’ve ever read! Rhysand was just absolutely perfect - the definition of “fictional men written by women”. The love he had for Feyre was, so beautiful. And chapters 54,55, and 56 were my favorite chapters in the entire book. Chapter 54 when Rhys explained what he meant when he said “There you are i’ve been looking for you”, had me in tears and then when Feyre said “eat up”, I died. Just perfect perfect perfect writing and I will definitely be rereading this book because this is my comfort book now!

Holly May (hollymaynisbet) | 5 comments Also, do you guys blame Lucien for not helping Feyre when he could clearly see she was struggling?

☀︎El In Oz☀︎ (elinoz) | 724 comments Mod
*minor spoilers for rest of the seires*
No. Lucien is even more messed up then Feyre is. He was emotionally abused and physically for years by his father and brothers, got his lover killed in front of him, probably was slightly manipulated by tamlin in a way, got his eye carved out, and on top of it all he has very little support until ACOFAS (even then jurian and Vassa aren’t perhaps the best help). He was struggling on his own and while he could have tried to help you can see why he couldn’t and he still is struggling. Then there’s the fact that Feyre is happy and can see he is struggling (she isn’t dumb) yet she chooses not to help when she has resources and is stable . She doesn’t properly include him. So at the end of the day I would argue he wasn’t doing m the wrong but atm Feyre is

☀︎El In Oz☀︎ (elinoz) | 724 comments Mod
If you haven’t finished the series though and can’t read that I’ll just say no. He was suffering on his own and still is

Meredith (musingsbymeredith) | 43 comments I agree with El; I don't blame Lucien at all. I think he feels unwanted and lost. He thought he found his place in the Spring Court and I think he was so very scared of losing the only place he ever felt like he belonged. He tried to help and he tried to fight but when the risk is losing everything; fear takes over. There is so much more to learn about him in the next installment

Holly May (hollymaynisbet) | 5 comments I agree with both of you. I felt really bad for Lucien throughout the books, when we’re told about his childhood, his “father”, his love being killed before him, the whole under mountain. He really suffered and I think Tamlin should’ve seen it or done something to help - even though I don’t know what he could’ve done. Overall, I felt very bad for Lucien and was happy when he to create a connection with Jurian and Vassa. I’m not sure what happens in ACOSF so I can’t comment on what he does in the future but yeah :)

message 29: by Kate (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kate Shields-Campbell | 1 comments I completely agree about Lucien! He’s struggling without a true place to call home/take comfort. His issues don’t excuse the fact that he didn’t aid her in ACOMAF, but it gives me a TON of empathy for him.

He was doing what he was told would be best. He believed Rhys to be the big bad. He was scared for Feyre, too, because of what he’d been told/seen.

I happen to still absolutely love Lucien and I hope that he can finally settle in and have the happiness he deserves 😭

Meredith (musingsbymeredith) | 43 comments Kate- I love Lucien too and I hope he is able to find his true happiness. I'm not sure where Elain falls into that but I always liked him more than I liked Tamlin.

The Neighbourhood Suriel | 241 comments I feel like at some point Lucien will break. like he's had enough. If this happens I hope he finally stands up for himself and although I understand why the bat boys don't like him I just wish they would but him some slack.
Yeah I totally love him. Even in ACOTAR I liked him a lot more then Tamlin.
He just needs to stop putting up with everyone else's BS.

Euriel | 256 comments One thing I love is Lucien and Feyre's friendship. They've both been through so much together and the fact that they're still friends despite Tamlin says a lot. Another thing I love about Lucien is he is really not a pushover. In ACOFAS, he straight up told Feyre that he doesn't need any handouts or charity from her or Rhys which I think was 'main character energy'. I think Feyre tries her best to include Lucien. He does have his own room in the river house, I think. And she invites him to intimate family stuff like her birthday among others. She also offered him a place working with the IC which he turned down with good reason(this was in ACOFAS). Feyre and Mor also have a discussion after that tense conversation between her and Lucien in ACOFAS where she(Feyre) mentions that she just wants them all to be happy. I think she refers to Nesta, Elain and Lucien. Obviously, Lucien has been through so so so much and the only reason why he is included in family stuff is actually because he's Feyre's friend and she wants him there which I personally think is cute. She loves him otherwise he wouldn't be there. I also think Rhys has some modicum of respect for Lucien and I'll continue to stand by that because in the Az chapter in ACOSF, he sort of spoke up for Lucien. Granted, Rhys was pissed because what Az almost did would have had dire political consequences and that was the main reason why he was pissed but still. Let me know your thoughts as well guys <3.

☀︎El In Oz☀︎ (elinoz) | 724 comments Mod
I agree but I feel Feyre isn’t doing everything she could? Bc I can tell Lucien is at a breaking point and will just break soon and I feel she should notice this and try to help but idk. No or. Besides Feyre really likes Lucien in the IC and he obviously doesn’t feel loved bc his own mate avoids him at all costs.
I hate Elian. Not only do I just dislike her as a character but the fact she won’t do the good thing in the situation (isn’t she supposed to be nice?) and talk to Lucien is very low of her

Euriel | 256 comments I will never understand why Elain treats Lucien so badly. What did he ever do to her? She’s so disrespectful to him that she was willing to make out with Az in the hallway at the river house mere feet from his bedroom. I agree to the fact that not even talking to Lucien is so low. Elain doesn’t deserve Lucien.

Euriel | 256 comments I also think that yeah Feyre could try harder to make Lucien feel included because yeah he doesn’t feel included among the IC.

☀︎El In Oz☀︎ (elinoz) | 724 comments Mod
Elain stans claiming she’s the kindest when she literally treats Lucien like trash….. we all know Feyre is the kindest pls

The Neighbourhood Suriel | 241 comments I feel that Feyre is trying but she pities him and no one likes feeling like that. And yeah I hate Elain for how she treats Lucien. She won't even give him a chance. She doesn't deserve him but I still ship them. Is that bad? That I hope they end up together but that Elain has to go through a period of feeling like she's completely lost him before she gets a chance? Maybe the next book will be about Az and she'll do something in that, that is so horrible that not only does Lucien give up on the bond but the IC aren't happy with her either. Than the book after that would be about Elain and she will have to go through like a redemption period. Also the IC will hopefully realize how awesome Lucien is although there dislike plus not feeling welcome there is probably what will result in problems. I agree that Rhys kind of respects him but he can't force the others to do the same. Plus Rhys even said (I think in ACOSF) that he is too close to Vassa and Jurian. I actually think that's a good thing. That he finally found somewhere he feels comfortable and accepted. Plus they're awesome. I feel they are going to play a big role in the next book. Mainly because of how close they are to Vassa.

☀︎El In Oz☀︎ (elinoz) | 724 comments Mod
I agree! If the next book is Elian’s then I think they’ll need a Lucien and as POV, so if we get a Lucien POV then more vassa and jurian!!

Meredith (musingsbymeredith) | 43 comments Elain's opinion of Lucien is tainted by his mistake in Hybern. She believes he is the reason she lost everything. Do I agree with her assessment no not at all. In fact I don't really care for her at all but at the same time she's always been thought of as the "weak" one or the "nice" one and I don't think any of us truly know who she is and I don't think she does either.

The interesting thing I can see happening in the Azriel/Elain/Lucien triangle is that Elain has her own mating bond which clicks into place with Azriel. She's Cauldron made after all. The rules don't have to apply to her. I don't know why but I think it would make for an incredibly interesting twist.

I think the IC actually does care for Lucien but they aren't going to fluff him. They want him to come to terms with where he fits himself in the same way they did with Feyre. It's always about choice. Lucien has to make his choice; right now he doesn't know where he fits or what he wants and once he decides that for himself I think the shift will happen.

The Neighbourhood Suriel | 241 comments There are soooo many different ways the story could go and I don't know which one I want because all of them are good and every argument makes sense.
That's the best thing about SJM's book isn't it? That you never know what to expect.

Euriel | 256 comments @KandyKane Exactly. I also agree with your point that when Lucien finds his place whether that be with the IC or Jurian and Vaasa, everyone will respect his decision but hopefully the IC sees Lucien for the sweetheart he really is. @El in Oz I also agree that Feyre has always been the kindest and most compassionate of the three sisters. It’s one of my favorite things about her. @Meredith Yess I think IC has warmed up just a bit to Lucien.

The Neighbourhood Suriel | 241 comments Can we all take a moment of silence to appreciate the beauty of this fine fae ma- uhm im sorry i meant fine artwork?

https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/2174...

The Neighbourhood Suriel | 241 comments Also who else thinks there might be this love triangle? Vassa, Lucien and Elain? Elain doesn't appreciate Lucien but Vassa does. Vassa will fall for Lucien and because Lucien is close to her Elain will get jealous? And Lucien being the sweet innocent cinnamon roll that he is won't notice a thing. Or he might think about moving on from Elain and thinking Vassa would be a good choice? You know like the beginnings of a relationship a little flirting blah blah... but then Elain in all her reformed glory will save the fandom from utter ruin?

No? Just me?

The Neighbourhood Suriel | 241 comments sigh..... Sarah J Maas has made conspiracy theorists out of all of us and broadened our imagination in ways that i no longer recognize or understand.

I need therapy... I think i'll go read ACOTAR again.

Meredith (musingsbymeredith) | 43 comments KandyKane wrote:

Hahaha...I finished the series for the first time in May and then re-read it already. I feel you.

I think Jurian and Vaasa will be a couple

The Neighbourhood Suriel | 241 comments ☀︎El In Oz☀︎ wrote: "I think Jurian and Vaasa will be a couple"

Yes, i really want this.
But - and someone tell me your opinion on this - in TOG some of the characters ended up single, well only one but then there was no romantic prospects for him.
Although for all the characters in ACOTAR there is a someone, who do you think will end up single?

Rhys & Feyre
Nesta & Cass
Az & Gwyn or Elain(my mind is screaming no)
Lucien & Elain or Vassa(please no)
Mor & Eris or Emerie (PLEASE be Eris, i just feel like that relationship will be soooooo hot and the development- like the biggest enemies to lovers in the entire series)
Jurien & Vassa

I think these are the most likely couples but i also think that it is possible that Mor, Eris and Emerie may end up single or just one of them will.

The Neighbourhood Suriel | 241 comments Also - who else hopes Baron will die and Helion will get his happily ever after? The thought of Helion forever alone makes me want to curl up and die.
But then the thing about SJM is that she doesn't give everyone a HEA and although we hate it, it makes it all a little more realistic.

No one hate me for this - but someone has to die.
I'm not ready for who it will be

Euriel | 256 comments Mor & Eris would be very very interesting ngl their story would have sooo much depth but I just feel like it’s already established that Mor prefers women. She’s gay(correct me if I’m wrong because I’m thinking bi, I don’t remember) so her and Eris would be complicated because of their history plus in ACOSF, Sarah hinted at something between Emerie and Mor which might develop later.

Euriel | 256 comments I am extremely confident that my babies Az and Gwyn would 100% end up together. I mean the signs are all there in the Az chapter. Plus 3 sisters, 3 brothers( kind of predictable and cliché ). Also I know Elain doesn’t deserve Lucien but I do ship them and it would be interesting if Sarah decides to write about both of them.
