Checking in - currently travelling and last night was in a hotel that has no wifi - so only on the app right now. Will be back tonight with access. I’m in Australia. I’m happy with either a tracking thread here or a spreadsheet - so will go with majority. I am hopeless at creating a spreadsheet but can fill them in 😃

Part 2 Tracking
Part 1 Tracking
Checking in.Hope you enjoyed your travels, Sally! :-)
I don't mind how we track either. Whichever you guys find easiest.
Hello Ladies. This is Team Quiche 22 One of our tasks is asking for recommendations from another team. So give us three of your best.

Hmmm...
I'll go with books I've recently read that I've enjoyed a lot:
I've started the Alex Verus series and binged the next three books. Just mentioning it because that hasn't happened in a while for me. Then I had to stop because I needed to get my hands on the next ones in the series first hehe.
You guys make your picks and post the final three in our thread. FYI I've already read Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. That Alex Verus one looks good. :-)

It reminded me a bit of Harry Dresden.

Aah ok! Sorry, misinterpreted that hehe.
I'll keep Alex Verus as an option then, the others can decide on the other two books :-)
You arrive at Totally Bookish Island located somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario (..yeah so...it might just be an abandoned film lot, but who is really looking?)
1. Read book set in Canada
2. Read a book with a building in an open field on the cover
There will be other players...not just you
3. Pick another team playing and ask them for three recommendations. You or a team mate may pick and read one of those books.
Usually in a setting like this there are winning teams and losing teams. Winning Teams would receive a reward
4. Read a First book in a series
5. Read a Second book in a series
6. Read a third book in a series
Losing teams would have to vote one of their own off the island at the Campfire Ceremony
7. Read a book with a fire or flame on the cover
Where members who are safe receive marshmallows
8.Pick another team and read and post one of their task for them, doesn't matter what episode they are on. Only one person needs to do this
The member who gets voted off would take a walk down the Dock of Shame
9. Read a book tagged Romance
take a ride on the Boat of Losers, and leave the island forever.
10. Read a book with a boat or water on the cover
The number of remaining members would dwindle down each week,
11. Read a Book of Choice
12.Read a Book of Choice
13.Read a Book of Choice
14. Read a Book of Choice
15. Read a Book of Choice
16. Read a Book of Choice
17. Read a Book of Choice
with the last one achieving cheap tabloid fame and winning a small fortune
18. Read a book you got for free
However....this will not happen as there are no winners or losers, so you may move on the next Episode after you pay Tribute to The Never Ending TBR
19. Read a book for this challenge: Never Ending TBR
20.Read a book for this challenge: The List: Best of Horror 2020
21. Read a book for this challenge: The Mary Shelley
Sorry I’ve been on my app so couldn’t set up notifications for this thread. I am currently reading a book that is first in a series

Ok - so the 3 Book recommendations For Quiche 22 are:
Fated by Benedict Jacka
Rafe: A Buff Male Nanny by Rebekah Weatherspoon
Every Last Cuckoo by Kate MaloyShall I go post them in their thread?
Also we need to decide which team we should ask to recommend 3 books for our team
Yes, please! If you've got time to post it in their thread, go for it! :-)As for which team for our recs... a team with a UF/PNR and cozy mystery reader to fit our respective tastes? ;-)
I don't know about Jess, but I know Danielle likes her UF/PNR hehe.
I can read for this:21. Read a book for this challenge: The Mary Shelley
The first prompt is to read a book set in London for this challenge, which is something I can easily do. I have the next Alex Verus book ready to go :-)
I'm out for the Horror 2020 one, unfortunately. I do have a horror book published in 2020 sitting on my shelf but it isn't on that list.
I can also do:
19. Read a book for this challenge: Never Ending TBR
I'm currently reading a book that's been on my TBR since 2013. It's also tagged Romance but I figure that will probably one of the easiest tasks hehe.
I like Paranormal Romance and cosy mystery - have read urban fantasy. The team makes 3 suggestions but only one of us need read one of the suggestions.
I think our best bet might be Oliver Twixt
Oliver Twixt sound like a good idea, yes!Maybe Sonia will recommend Emerald Blaze :-p (You're reading this, right, Sonia?? ;-))
Eldarwen wrote: "Oliver Twixt sound like a good idea, yes!Maybe Sonia will recommend Emerald Blaze :-p (You're reading this, right, Sonia?? ;-))"
Oh, did you see they ended up putting the Cool Aunt shortie free for all?
Of course we still need to read Emerald Blaze first, but yeah.
Eldarwen wrote: "Oliver Twixt sound like a good idea, yes!Maybe Sonia will recommend Emerald Blaze :-p (You're reading this, right, Sonia?? ;-))"
LOL - formal request done - time to pour wine and settle down in front of gogglebox for the evening.
Sally906 wrote: "I don’t do horror either - maybe Danielle or Jess can do that one."That’s a no on horror from me.
Well if Jess can’t read one maybe we can talk someone on another team to read it for us for their task 8 - we could return the favour.
Sally906 wrote: "Well if Jess can’t read one maybe we can talk someone on another team to read it for us for their task 8 - we could return the favour."That's what I was thinking!
Grab the team Abbie is on ;-)) She likes Horror but doesn't like Romance, so.... maybe...?
Sonia wrote: "Ahahahahaha Sure, I can do that!"
Heheh, thanks ;-)
Also, no I hadn't seen about Cool Auntie, but thanks for letting me know! I miss most updates on anything, oops ;-)
I’m on my app now as heading for bed - Abbie does not like romance so that’s a good idea - maybe you could sweet talk her Eldawen?
Eldarwen wrote: "Sonia wrote: "Ahahahahaha Sure, I can do that!"

I saw it on one of thei blog posts, I think.
It's under Arabella's stories - here
Sally906 wrote: "I’m on my app now as heading for bed - Abbie does not like romance so that’s a good idea - maybe you could sweet talk her Eldawen?"I'll do my best! :-)
Eta: Once we hear back from Jess and Abbie's team has their tasks :-)
Sonia wrote: "It's under Arabella's stories - here"Cool, thanks! I'll go have a read once I've devoured Emerald Blaze :-)
Actually, I sent Jess a pm to let her know that teams have been assigned. I'm not sure how active she is on GR but chances are she might not have realised yet that she's on a team, so... :-)

I can do number 18 a book you got for free. We see the stars by Kate van Hooft. How it fits is that i received it as an uncorrected proof from the publisher (Allen & Unwin)
Hi Team War & Peas, below is a completion for your task #4 my task #8Completion Post
8. Pick another team and read and post one of their task for them, doesn't matter what episode they are on.
4. Read a First book in a series
Book:
A.J. SherwoodDate: 9/14
How it fits: (Jon's Mysteries #1)
Venicia has read for the task I was reading for - so will use my current read for something else Book of choice?
Book of Choice is always a good fall-back option. Unless it works for a different task?Or you could read it for another team's "first in series" task. Basically do the same as Venecia did and post your completion for "first in series" in another team thread and thus complete our own task 8.
Up to you! Read your book in peace, I'd say, and then decide once you're done :-)

3. [bookcover:Emerald Blaze|49..."
Eldarwen - you want to read Emerald Blaze? 😜
Thanks for the recommendations! :-)Does anyone have a burning desire to read one of these?
If not, I'm going to snag that task so I can finally immerse myself in Emerald Blaze :-D
