dagger [ain't that a kick in the head] (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh) | 330 comments Okay let's see hmmmmmmmm

The School

This is a school for people with dryadic powers. So plant powers. It's hidden really deep in a forest, and in order to get in, you have to show your powers to the ghosts that guard the gate. Here you will learn how to use and control your power, as well as hide them from humans.

Species

There are three different species that attend the school - full dryads, half-dryads, and humans.

Full dryads are 100% forest spirits. They're usually named after the plant their power comes from, and often have more powerful abilities than those of humans and half-dryads. They are the most common species to attend Middlemist, making up half of the school's students and staff.

Half-dryads are, surprise, half human and half dryad. They make up just less than half of the school's students and staff. Their power usually isn't as strong as that of the full dryads, but it's still pretty powerful with proper training.

Humans are extremely rare at Middlemist, barely 5% of the school. They were somehow given dryadic abilities at birth, but often have trouble using and controlling them. Their abilities have a wide range of power, from nuclear to almost nonexistent. Throughout the school, many human students are bullied and looked down upon, as human hatred is what caused the dryads to go into hiding.

The Staff

Headmaster: The leader of the Academy. Reserved for Head Mod.

Vice Headmasters: Help the Headmaster run the Academy. Reserved for mods.

Teachers: Former students who teach different subjects ranging from Power Control to Algebra.

Supervisors: Those who enforce the school rules.

Counselors: Staff members who help students through issues, introduce new students to the school, and also occasionally sub for an absent teacher.

Ghosts: Former students and staff who died a long time ago. They have many jobs, including guarding the Academy from any danger and janitorial duties.

Sister School

There is another school for those with animal powers, called the Panthera
Orientalis Academy of Fauna.
The two schools have a friendly rivalry, and a monthly competition every month on the 15th.

FAQS

So do they control only their plant? Like, your Jade's plant is Jade Vine, so can she only control that specific one? Sort of? All students are taught skills with the most common plants, such as oak trees or grass, and their specific plant is one that they are naturally good at and have the most power over.

What do these 'creatures' look like? Are they part plant, or do they just look like normal humans? It depends. The dryads look, yes, part plant. Almost like a human statue made from wood or leaves. Half dryads can go either way, or right in the middle. Humans just look like normal humans. Ghosts pretty much look exactly like they used to, except for they've turned a light blue-white color, are transparent, and float a little bit. They're still solid to touch, though

Do you have age ranges on students/headmasters/teachers/etc.? Student age range is from 11-18, and teachers are 20 and above.

Is this more of a modern type of school, or it it futuristic or old timey?Pretty much how it is now, excluding the pandemic thing

do ghosts still have powers? Yep! They still have all the powers they had before they died, as well as ghostly abilities like floating or walking through walls.

Poor Ghosts... They can’t even rest in peace, and instead have to clean... XD

dagger [ain't that a kick in the head] (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh) | 330 comments I mean, they can choose to rest in peace if they want. It's a choice, and they can change their minds whenever they want.

Do you think we should have like a plant/character tracker topic? Or at least a post where we can catalogue what plants have already been used to they aren’t duplicated?
