Afri entered the room, looking around to make sure there weren't many people before sitting down on one of the blue couches. They looked around the room, smiling. Glad to see the Common Room's still good. They thought, their feet dangling above the carpet. Didn't we get a new Headmistress this year? Hm, they'll probably be nice. Maybe I shouldn't have skipped orientation? Afri pondered to themselves, the goo stuck to their foot somehow forgotten.
Lucen was still glued to their foot as they walked in. But when they say down on the couch with their feet off the floor, Lucen decided to try to fall off their foot, but at a decent pace so he didn't scare them with a sudden sensation on their foot. Instead it was a constant feeling as to not seem anything different other than gradually being a lighter feeling on the foot he was stuck on. He eventually freed himself, and fell onto the floor, not causing much noise due to his miniature size. He walked over to a point on the floor where his line of sight wasn't obscured by the foot that he was stuck to earlier. Then, and while it may not have been the smartest decision considering his current position on the floor, he called out to them raising his voice to a normal volume and pitch "Hello, thank you for allowing me to free myself."
Afri startled, hearing a voice. They stood up on top of the couch and looked around trying to find the source of the voice. "Who's there?!" They asked, their voice wavering, "Where are you?" They took deep breaths to steady themselves as they scanned the blue carpet and floor.
They saw the tiny ghost with what looked like a version of knight armor on the floor looking back up at them with its gentle green eyes and had its hands out as if trying to calm them down. Then Lucen spoke up again and the source was clearly the ghost on the floor, right next to where their feet were resting earlier "I'm sorry, didn't mean to startle you, I'm Lucen, what's your name?"
Afri's eyes caught the small ghost and they frowned, confusion quickly filling their eyes before disappearing. "Oh. So sorry about that," they looked around, as if making sure there were no more small ghosts hiding in the room before looking back to Lucen. They blinked, "Pleasure to meet you Lucen," they squeaked, "I'm African Violet, though I go by Afri." Their body trembled, as if a much more fragile leaf then their plant was.
Lucen answered in a polite tone of voice "Pleasure to meet you as well Afri," He suddenly leaps up into the air, the highest he flew being about a quarter of Afri's height on the couch, and soon landed on the couch next to where they were standing on it. He then continued in a kind voice as he adjusted into a comfortable position on the couch "I hope I didn't interrupt a good day of yours by surprising you."
As Afri stared down at the ghost, they realized that they were standing on top of the piece of furniture. They slowly slid back down onto the couch, their eyes glued on Lucen. They're rather small. Seem nice, I wonder how long they've been around? They startled, realizing Lucen has spoken "N-no, it's fine, you didn't bother me!" They looked around the room at the doors and frowned, their brow creasing, "Do you mind if I ask how you got came in?"
Lucen watched as Afri lowered themselves onto the couch. Though due to how much bigger they were, this action caused Lucen to start to slide down in the dent on the couch towards them. However, he didn't notice that he was slowly going towards them and just nodded towards her. Before he answered the question though, he rubbed the back of his neck for a short while "Well... I don't want you to feel bad but... I was stuck on your foot for a short while... As I'm a bit more physical than most ghosts, and it doesn't really help me at this size around students." He laughed a bit towards himself at the end then shook his head "Though, don't blame yourself, as it didn't hurt that much and it happens a bunch anyways."
Afri watched the small ghost slide down the cushions towards them, their full attention captured. They shook their head, holding up a hand to try and help keep Lucen in his spot on the cushions. When they finally did pay attention to what the ghost was saying, it took them a moment to process it, "Oh. I- I'm very sorry about that!" They apologized, laughing awkwardly. Wait. "Were you the goo?" They asked, fiddling with the sleeves of their purple sweater
