Middlemist Academy of Flora discussion

Jade stood on the stage, looking around the theater. The doors opened, and people started to stream in. The Headmaster looked a bit nervous, looking around at all the faces. This is fine. she said to herself. It's fine. Let's do this.

Azzy smiles at Jade, along with the other staff members, he walked onto stage and stood off to the side, awkwardly waiting for everyone to settle down and for Jade to speak.

Marson taps his foot as he plops down into a seat, eyes flickering around wildly as he watched the lights dim. Meanwhile, Sierran simply slouches into her seat, hiding her embarrassment as her father waves at her from the stage.

Jade nodded, smiling slightly. "Thanks. It's a bit nerve-wracking, but I'll be fine."

Ariah sat down in the back, watching the stage. This didn't seem too different from her old school...

Nerium stood on the stage next to Azzy. Since the speeches were optional, she had decided not to do one this year, but she was still up on the stage because reasons and moral support.

Lucen went into the auditorium as well, immediately launching himself upwards so he stood on the equipment holding the lights above the stage. He gives a thumbs up down to Jade from his new perch.

(I'll be busy for a short while so I just decided to do this quick post. XD So, Lucen would make sure everyone was safe from his new perch. :) )

Ray walked in, sitting down in a chair and letting out a loud sigh. She scribbled in her notebook for a while, waiting for the orientation to start. She hoped there was a press room here, so she could write some articles.

Jade nodded. "He-" she started to speak into the microphone, but it squealed with feedback. The headmaster cringed. "Sorry about that. Um, hello. I'm Jade Sylvidas, I'll be your headmaster this year."

Azzy rocks onto the back of his heels, licking his lips as he looks down at his notecards for a moment, mouthing a few words before looking up and grinning at the wave of students. "A lot more then last year." he says quiet. "means more classes, yayy." he rolls his eyes

Raiva walks into the auditorium, and upon hearing the headmistress' voice, explodes into a bunch of petunia petals and drifts over to a seat.

Sata slips through the door, silently cursing himself for being late. Stupid gate He sits in the closest chair to the door.

"Oh hey, it's that guy," the petunia petals say. "Better go tell him sorry." Raiva collects himself and starts walking over.

"Welcome to Middlemist!" Jade said, smiling. "I hope this year will be exciting, and that you'll learn a lot along the way. " She looked around. "This is going to be a great first year, for you and me both." She laughed a little.

Ray rolled her eyes. Get to the point woman, she thought, so we can get outta here.

Azzy chuckles to himself, eyes darting over the masses of students as he listened to the headmaster stutter over her words and make her speech up as she went on.
He smiles at the crowd, waiting pateintly.

Sata's eyelids droop. No! Stay awake! he thinks and pinches his arms. The Headmistress was going on about learning and all that boring stuff. Sata makes an effort to pay attention.

"You know, I always hated these speeches when I was a student. Thought they took far too long. So, I'm going to keep this short and say that I hope you enjoy your time here. Terminus non est nisi mens tua!" After saying the school's motto, Jade passed the mic to Azzy and went off to the side.


"How'd I do?" She whispered to [insert drago's character's name].

"Hey man, I'm really sorry about all that." Raiva says ((to Sata)) I hope we can move past that like mature people--Are you sleeping?!"

Katharine entered the auditorium silently, through the wall. She was invisible, so she just hovered there and watched the new students. Targets, she thought, eyes honing in on each one of them.

Azzy sighs, patting Jade's shoulder before stepping up and grinning, the tale male waves a hand, and with a single snap a bunch of his signature flowers grew from his skin, "Good, now that I have your attention!" he cracks his wrist and the flowers sink back into his skin.

"So, first off I'd like to say this; Don't piss any of the ghosts off, or any of these wonderful ladies behind me." he rubs a bruise on his shoulder. "Trust me, they're really strong." he rolls back his shoulders and grins again. "Well, I go by many names but you all can call me Mr.Azzy, I'm a pureblood who teaches biology and runs the plant care aka, the gardening club." he rubs his hands together. "I want you to do your best, you hear? I expect no more or more less from my students," he chuckles and leans foreword. "and if you don't do your best, well.." he looks at Nerium and shudders. "I really hope we don't need to bring that up."

He lifts his jaw and hums. "Oh, and do us a solid and watch where you walk ! We have a ghost here who we'd rather not scrap off the bottom of your shoe or the floor, he means a lot to us, and you'll find that he's very important to this school." he motions to the chandelier, chuckling.
"I'll see you all in my class, have a good day.'

It was time for orientation, and Aaliyah was running late. She quickly ran into the doors of the auditorium and looked around. Everyone was already here, and she was already feeling awkward. The girl quickly found a seat and yawned, hoping that it wouldn't take too long.

Marisol sat down quickly and sighed.

Azzy sweats and gives the microphone to the next teacher, who rambled on and on about their class and how fun learning would be.

Marson rubs the back of his neck, muttering softly.

((Kinda want Nerium to just be like "ah whatever" and give a speech for the heck of it))

Sata claps appreciatively. No long speech? He was starting to like this school. When the petal boy apologized Sata looked up at him. "Hmm? No. Just resting my eyes for a second." He puts his hand to his ear. "Was that an apology I heard?"

"That's besides the point! I saw you just yawning! What gives, man? I was trying to apologize for the error of my ways and you just fall asleep?! What kind of person are you? Like seriously, what the f--" Just as Raiva was about to curse, he explodes into a bunch of petals.

(Thanks for mentioning Lucen. :) Unfortunately it seems a bit too late for me to come back but just know that he appreciates the mention. :) Also, maybe one of the later days in the school he can show off how good of a defender he is now. XD)

After the last teacher was done, Nerium looked around. It didn't seem like anyone else was going to do a speech, so what the heck? She pulled the microphone from the stand.

"Morning. I'm Nerium. Not Miss Nerium or Professor Nerium or anything like that. It's just Nerium. I teach combat on floor three. Seeing you all, I'm guessing that most of you have had to run from something at one point or another. Well, now you'll be learning how to fight back, instead. I'll warn you that I'm a hard teacher, and you'll probably receive quite a few bruises from my class. Azzy can tell you, I've taken him down every single day for almost ten years. In fact..." She glanced at Azzy. "Any chance of a demonstration right now?"

Katharine smirked, her dark eyes lighting on the teachers. This was the fun part.

The males eyes dim and he groans. "Really? My daughter's here!" he groans, loosening his hi. "I love Sierri," he shouts, causing the girl to slouch in her seat and cover her face.
The male grins and tosses his tie at Nerium. "alright so what's it gonna be today, hm?" he asks, rubbing his shoulders, muttering to her to be gentle on his healing shoulder. "and stop saying ever demonstration. There are the times where I've knocked you down and won." he exclaims.

Sata plucks a petal from midair to examine. "Do you always literally explode or am I a special case? I apologize then." The Combat teacher on stage challenges Azzy. Sata lets go of the petal and turns to watch, interested.

Ray heaved a loud, loud sigh. GETONWITHIT, was playing on repeat in her head. She shuffled her feet, annoyed and bored.

"Stop touching my petals!" Raiva reformed, minus a fingernail. "Don't you know, those are very--Ooh, a fight." He watched the stage, transfixed, as the Combat teacher dares Azzy to fight.

"Okay then. Almost every demonstration." Nerium said. "Hand-to-hand." She snapped into a fighting stance in the blink of an eye.

The male sighs, hunching foreword and raising his large fists. "Go easy on my back, you 'bout broke it last time." he grumbles sliding into his stance.

Nerium shrugged. "Oh, I'm sure you're fine." She watched him for a moment before launching herself towards him, feinting towards his good shoulder before turning and swiping her leg underneath his feet.

((So how long is this fight gonna go))

Lucen watched Nerium and Azzy from the chandelier and saw that they were about to fight. Though he liked Azzy's mention of him, he hoped they wouldn't go too far, otherwise he may have to intervene, and last time he tried to do that in the school it didn't go too good in between two students. He shook his head and continued to watch the beginning of their fight while confirming already in his mind that he'll head down to check on them after they are done, to make sure they'll be fine.

Sata rolls his eyes. "Here, have you petal," he says and drops it on Raivas head, then turns back to the fight.

Raiva takes his petal and merges it back onto his finger. "This isn't the last you'll see of me, buddy, that's for sure!"

"I believe you," Sata says and smiles. "If I see some petals in the wind, then I'll say 'Hi friend, how are you?'"

Azzy groans at the kick to his legs, yes, he was unaffected. It was years and he knew everything she would try so-
The taller male used his height as an advantage, swinging once, then twice to get her to step back before suddenly he just lurched foreword, arms locking around her to form one heck of a headlock as he lifted her ever so slightly from the ground, apologizing.

Nerium looked up at him. "Just so you know, you gave me no other option." She said, and then bit his arm.

The male shouts, lightly knocking her on the side of the head before tossing her ((yes: tossing her)) like an empty sack. The male grumbles, watching his signature flower blossom from the wound. "Thanks-" he groans, lifting his fists up again. He takes a jab at her ribs- it hits, but his next swing ends up with her pinning him to the ground.
