You are in this book group because you chose either goal 14 (life below water). How do you think this book will relate to the goal you chose? What are your expectations for this book? Do you think you will enjoy it? Why or why not?

Sophia I think I will enjoy it because I love the sea and I always want to try and make it safer for all marine animals. The sea is a beautiful place and we should take care of it and I think I'm going to really like it.

I think this book relates to the goal I chose because it talks about how fish and animals in the sea could die off soon, and how we could prevent that and help the environment. I can’t really say for sure if i will enjoy it, because for me, non-fiction books i never really enjoy, i just absorb the information and say; “Yup that’s cool, I’m going to remember this” and then just go along with my life. I don’t think it’s boring or anything, i just cant say for sure whether I’d enjoy it. (I do like reading about the ocean and fish though so maybe i will)

Benjamin amundson (benjamin0103948) Oh man we got a book about fish this is where it's at. If you were not here last year if we did a essay on a animal or a animal project it was about fish always. I also really like fish because there's just so many things we don't know about.

I have no idea what you’re talking about, i have bad memory lol, but i agree that marine animals are kind of mysterious, i mean there is so much ocean on our planet that we haven’t explored, who knows what could be out there

When i meant i had no idea what you were talking about, i meant the project to clarify

Bella the human I don't think I'll like it because it's non-fiction. I usually like fiction, fantasy especially. I don't like non-fiction because we already learn to much at school! :D

I really like ocean life too. A lot of sea creatures are really beautiful! i.e. jellyfish

Avaree I think i'll like it because I love the sea, and I think it's so sad how much pollution there is. Some people don't realize how much the ocean contributes to us. Such as, travel, importing goods, food, it provides a good impact to our economy.

Jude I this book will be interesting and It'll be good to here about all the ways we can prevent unregulated fishing.

message 11: by Jude (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jude I "think" this book will interesting

message 12: by Madalynn (new)

Madalynn I think that I would love this book because I love the ocean and want to work with sharks when I am older

message 13: by Madalynn (new)

Madalynn it is sad thought because the tiger sharks nickname is trash can of the sea

Avaree I think they made a good point about overfishing, if you get up all the fish there will be none left.

Avaree This book is actually pretty boring, It's kind of hard to stay focused when i'm reading it.

would taking notes on the things you want to say during the book discussion help you focus?

No, it's just that i thought the book wasn't interesting to me. I like the ocean and I stand for the cause, but the book itself was droning.

I agree the book had one really hard core message and they were pushing it at every page. It is good that you can analyse what it is that made the book difficult for you. Have you read other books on the topic that you liked more?
