Oh...okay, I was about to be so scared if that was Prussia.....Oooo.Okami is a game for the Wii and Playstation 2, I believe (I have the Wii version). It's based off of alot of Japanese myths and just squished alot of them in, like The Cutters, Mr. Bamboo and that guy who never aged.....it's a really good game and it's sequal (I think I spelled that wrong), Okami-Den, is coming out soon; at least March. It's a really good game that got really good reveiws, but The Cutters are only in the game for a short time, but they scared the shit out of me.

Sounds terrifying.......my friend's father does this scare house/thing every year around Halloween to raise money for sick children, I think it was cancer but I can't remember...... Anyway, the house was terrifying, there were some stupid parts and I went the day it opened so some people that were in the house were missing, but when I was waiting outside the door with my friend, her family and mine, we were watching this gargoyle thing that moved and had smoke and everything, when suddenly the gargoyle leaped off of it's seat and screamed. I screamed, full out screamed. The man in the gargoyle suit looked at me in a way that said, "Are you alright? Are you sure you can handle the rest of the house?"He did it again after five minutes and I screamed even louder. I can't take scary stuff.........
Okami is about the Japanese god Amaterasu, who is reborn into the fallen world of Nippon, cursed by an awakened evil known as Orochi, an eight-headed snake. Amaterasu, or Ammy, as he/she/it (the Japanese version had her genderless, while in the American version she is a girl) was dubbed by the tiny artist Issun, was reborn as a wolf. With Issun and other characters, she has to reclaim her powers as a god and save Nippon from Orochi and other evils.
The seqeul (Again, I think I spelled it wrong) is about Ammy's reincarnated form Chibiterasu....I'm not quite sure what it's about.......It's coming out for DS.
This sounds alot like the Tale of Amaterasu, The Yamato Arc, The Battle of Yamato-Orochi, and alot of stories from Hokkaido!! Oh, goody, I want to play this...
Yes! You're right on the nose...now I feel stupid for saying that weird saying.The game is a mix of common Japanese myths, alot of them. And you just went through some of the major ones! *laughs* Basically, if you know an old Japanese story, it's probably in the game in some way or another, and, if not, it might be in Okami-Den.
On a side note, I actually meant to say that Chibiterasu is not Ammy's child, but her reincarnated form.
And, if you're wondering, I didn't spoil anything really for any of the games.
@RoseI had the most fantastic surprise from my friend Sigmund (the lovely song-writer I mentioned beforehand, I believe) who told me that he has the game and he started up his file to unlock a new brush technique, and I watched him play before we went out for dinner.
I sort of liked the game. In fact, during dinner, all we could talk about was how cute Kabegami was and that we wanted plushies of all of the brush gods.
I was looking through his beast log, and am I the only one who is drop dead in love with the pudgy little sparrows in-game and from Sasa Sanctuary!?
They were no where near as cute in their legend as they are in this fantastic game. NO. WHERE. NEAR.
I WANT PLUSHIES OF ALL THE GODS TOO!!!! They're just so cute!!!!!!!! The Sparrows are adorable, except the Boss guy, he's just weird; and I always tried to avoid putting out the fire on that little one that was on fire.I really love Okami! I'm playing it over for the third time now and I never get tired of it, not once have I skipped a scene...Especially not the Rao one. *snickers*
