[Personality]

Avery Weston is your average teenage kid, laid back, active, and independent. He enjoys spending his time in the company of his friends and family, although he is shy to make new friends. He isn't one to get in between fights and get caught up in all the drama, because in his opinion, arguing is pointless. A peacemaker in both home and school, Avery is often agreeable in character. If he had been standing behind someone at a fast food restaurant who didn't have enough change, he'd pay for their entire meal. He often enjoys helping others, immediately able to form bonds of trust between those he meets.
Family is highly valuable to Avery, and to those who don't have people to call family, he takes care of. His big heart has room for everyone, even the people that bullied him at his old school. The way he saw it was that everyone had their own outlets, and Avery was theirs. It is difficult to set his temper off, as he is difficult to frustrate. With patience and understanding, Avery is talented in the way that he can handle younger children quite easily.
When it comes to school settings, Avery pays attention in all his classes, thanks the teachers, participates even if he gets the wrong answers. He's willing to try new things, as well as go for adventurous ideas and routes. His time is managed a bit poorly, as he divides most of his time between home, work, and school. Avery doesn't like to have a lot of things on his schedule either, often forgetful of assignments and appointments most of the time. To his family, Avery helps out his share of the work, does his chores (most of the time, anyway), plays toys with his brothers, helps his father fix things around the house, does the dishes for his mother. He doesn't complain either, having a passive attitude overall.

[History]
Avery Riley Weston was born to two kindly parents in Malibu, California, the first child of the family. Whole he was young, his parents raised their son on the beach, with Avery splashing in the waves as soon. As he could walk. He took up the beach life as a passion, his father spending countless hours teaching Avery how to surf while his mother looked on from under a floppy wide brimmed hat at her boys. The family was close knit, and there was trust and happiness between the three. Avery was a bubbly little boy, with a big grin that lit up the rooms he walked in to. His personality attracted several other classmates in elementary school, and he got along with his peers and teachers. While his father worked, his mother diligently made sure her son's needs were taken care of. They had the house and finances all taken care of, living with the sand in their backyard. Rain or shine, Avery and his father always went down every Saturday to the tides, creating a lasting tradition of surfing or simply sitting on the ocean and talking for hours.
At age 10 and 12, Avery was blessed with baby brothers , who he immediately latched on to. He protected them, clothed them, frequently even volunteered to change their diapers. Avery played with them, taught them how to read, took them for walks on the sand. The entire Weston household got along easily, with routines and a similar passion for the beach. And so they continued on with their lives, living happily on the Malibu coast. In school, Avery experimented with girls, was on the surf and soccer team, and frequently hung out with his friends in the town. Life was easy here, and Avery had never felt more secure.
His junior year, though, his father had broken it to the family that they were moving. East. They wouldn't still be on the beach, and his business had to be relocated to a different property. Avery would only have until halfway through the summer to say goodbye to all the things he loved, the people he knew, the waves he had frequented. His world seemed to come crashing in on him, his grades unsteady as he barely passed his classes that year. The move had to be the most uncomfortable thing he had experienced. His parents often closed their doors now, his mother found crying late at night in the kitchen. Avery would have no idea what was going on between his mom and dad in this new house, as if they had become two completely different people. Just being in an entirely different area had made Avery become introverted, staying inside and staring at his surfboard propped in the corner of his room, boxes piled around the new house. His little brothers never knew about anything, but Avery could feel the tensions in the household run high.
Avery has been living in his city house with longings for home, spending his time indoors with a hesitation for adventure anymore. Seeing the other teenagers out in the big, loud city make him nervous, as he doesn't know how they'll like him. After having grown up surrounded by childhood best friends, Avery feels often alone, and keeps in touch with his old friends often. His neighbors think him to be a little weird, too quiet and shy. With his parents marriage and the entire family on unsteady slopes, Avery wishes nothing more than to go home.
