I just read the first chapter and I find it pretty intriguing. Still trying to figure out if she really didn't do it... for some reason, I'm reminded of Sage? Is it her mischievous/spy like nature? Idk but I'm liking it so far :)

I just picked this up yesterday but finishing another two books first before starting. Talk with you all soon on it.

There was a character in chapter two that reminded me even more of Sage and I love it. Still haven't read more but I will definitely keep going (this may be pulling me out of my slump?) and I hope you enjoyyy

Currently on Chap 7 and this isn't a spoiler whatsoever just a thought:

I'm noticing that I know very little about what the characters are talking about and I feel like that will get cleared up but sometimes they make a joke (I think?) and I'm sooo lost. Does anyone get it out of context cause I..?

For example, pg 43 "Instead she focused on the mangy mutt between them and whispered, "Dog in a bar."
(Like I feel like I was supposed to understand that and yet...)

Or on pg 45 "Nineteen fifty-eight was a good year for cars, young man." Sometimes its stuff that Kat says that confuses me and then its what other people say. Just like Kat, I'm out of the loop. Now I'm wondering if that was intentional or not...

Besides that, these characters have lots of personalities and its a fun read so far. Hope you guys feel the same and that's the end of this tangent :D

Chapter 15 for me. How's everyone liking it so far? A bit slow for me in the beginning but Chapter 14 with Heir Stein has captured my interest more. Would like to see where this goes.

I think 1958 was the year of the car on top of the fountain.

Definitely did. I am so unfamiliar with painters that I had to or I'd be really lost lol.

Haha! I have an advantage because my Dad's an artist. 😂

I googled them and noticed that the names in the book are not the exact names of the paintings by the artists, but very closely named. I would think for copyright reasons the author couldn't provide the exact name. But the artwork itself is amazing.

Allyson, that is so cool your dad is an artist. Hailey has been taking art classes for almost 2 years. It is her absolute passion.

I really really like your dad's work. The herding hippos has to be my favorite as hippo's are my favorite animals. "CHOICES" is phenomenal. Some of the others are so lifelike that they look like photographs.

I agree, CHOICES is very nice and thought-provoking. And I feel very nostalgic looking at 'What We Left Behind' 😁

Yes, it is! "What We Left Behind" was our backyard at one of the houses we used to live at, when we moved we forgot to take the tire swing and the ladder so we literally left it behind. 😂
