Thanks for all the threads, Marieke! I should have my copy by the end of this week.
The foreword is short and sweet as I like them to be.Achebe gives his endorsement for this book as a "welcome addition to the growing library of serious critical analysis of Africa."
Glad to read that the author (Richard Dowden) is/was a journalist as I tend to like when journalist write non-fiction as it seems the narrative flows well for me.
