The Kevin Hearne’s book you have mentioned is most likely A Question of Navigation coming out in January. And to complete the triad of books about space repopeople I’ll add Starship Repo by Patrick S. Tomlinson.
Speaking of books, Gene Wolfe’s final novel is Interlibrary Loan, which sounds very Wolfian.https://locusmag.com/2020/07/gary-k-w...
Have any of the comics readers read Waldo's Hawaiian Holiday: The "Quasi-Sequel" to Repo Man? I'm wondering if it's worth a look.

That sounds like a Jenny book.

It could have been, but I didn't get very far in until he used the word "tits" and I decided it was unlikely to be the book for me. I gave the first book in that series 3 stars anyway.
Show 400 should happen sometime in December.
I think Veronica has something special already planned for that month :-)

That explains the timing, I'm sure.

A new moderator!
Mr. Tax Writeoff.
And the new moderator picks the book of the month! Can't wait for the selection "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish." That, and the multi-page threads on whether it is Fantasy or Science Fiction. On the Fantasy side of the argument, Red and Blue fishes are unnatural colors therefore it represents low fantasy. On the SF side, it's genetic engineering to obtain those colors.

I think it’s straight ichthyofiction. After all, parrotfish come in both red and blue varieties.
However, if they’re fighting over which one rules Atlantis or they’re exploring Titan, all bets are off.
Oh, sorry for bringing this up! I didn't think about the math there and didn't want to put any pressure on anyone!
Nothing to be sorry about. It was a good question.
I'm just a cheeky aussie 😉 I'm sure the milestone of 400 will be acknowledged on the show and here.
Sword and Laser also hits the teens next month (started October 15th 2007)
I guess the book club will become all moody, emo and rebellious then 😂

The critical analysis this group brings to New Moderator’s second pick, “Goodnight Moon” is gonna be lit!
“New Moderator” has been seconded by Nicholas as the official name of Veronica’s imminent youngling. All in favor vote “aye.”
No need to ask, he's the New Moderator. Neeewwwww .....Moderator.....Crib to bed and cries for a bottle, newborn child
Lots of toys and nap time is trouble, playtime's wild
He's the New Moderator. Neeewwwww ..... Moderator.....
^ We can read "Where's My Cow," the children's book for Thud! Along with the regular Discworld book of the same name. Alternate pick: Wee Free Men.

The rest of the time it's a missed opportunity to use "wubbajubbas".
V - depending on how comfortable you are with kids and games, there are definitely some you could start playing with The December Kid pretty early. And don't forget, there will be plenty of time holding The December Kid just soothing that can be conducive to gametime. :D ;)
terpkristin wrote: "And don't forget, there will be plenty of time holding The December Kid just soothing that can be conducive to gametime. :D ;)"This is true. There are long periods of time when you just need to be holding the kid - works pretty well for game or reading time.
My daughter just plain wouldn't sleep so my wife and I took care of her in shifts. I'd come home, have dinner, go to bed until 1 AM. I then took her from 1 until she fell asleep, usually 4. This went on for about six months. The Adam West Batman was on late and I started watching it. By the time my daughter got onto a more normal sleep schedule I had seen the entire show.
^ I know! At least Burt Ward had done some martial arts (reports conflict as to whether or not he actually was a black belt) but that's like comparing a good club fighter to Mike Tyson. Kato was originally scripted to lose to Robin and Bruce Lee refused.
Trike wrote: "I think it’s straight ichthyofiction. ..."The group needs to read more Piscipunk imho.
Nicholas wrote: "The critical analysis this group brings to New Moderator’s second pick, “Goodnight Moon” is gonna be lit!"Perhaps this is super off-topic, but if you haven't heard the most recent episode of 99% Invisible, it is all about Good Night Moon (and the NYPL and the Children's' Librarians). A fascinating story.
