Here are your February 2021 Mini Challenges!

RULES

** Books DO NOT all have to be mysteries. You can use any genres.

** A book can be used only once for this challenge, but can be used for other challenges (Seasonal, World Trip, Ultimate, etc.).

** You DO NOT have to choose books in advance, and can change your mind at any time if you do.

** Do as many as you are able and have fun!

1. February is National Embroidery Month:
Read a book that features some sort of needle craft (e.g.: crewel, crochet, cross-stitch, embroidery, Hardanger, knitting, needlepoint).

2. February 4 is the birthday of Clement Ader (1841), a French inventor who was the first person to fly a heavier-than-air craft: Read a book with something that flies on the cover (e.g.: airplane, balloon, bird, helicopter, kite, UFO).

3. February 5 is National Wear Red Day for Heart Health: Read a book with a red cover or with a heart on the cover.

4. February 15 is Singles Awareness Day and National No One Eats Alone Day: Read a book in which the main character is single or lives alone.

5. February 19 is the birthday of Nicolaus Copernicus (1473), known for placing the sun at the center of the universe, not Earth: Read a book with a celestial body on the cover or in the title (e.g.: asteroid, comet, meteor, moon, planet, Star, sun).

Don’t make number five harder than it needs to be! In mysteries, I’ve found moons and stars, both in the sky and on other items, easiest to find. Some examples include books by Kay Finch or Heather Blake. For other genres, examples include The Little Prince (stars & asteroids), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (planets), Where the Red Fern Grows (moon), the werewolf series by Vicki Lewis Thompson (moon). These are all examples from my personal bookshelves.
