Jacqueline stood at her assigned spot near the huge doors, already bored out of her mind. "I just want candy...." She quietly groaned to herself, not sure if her legs fell asleep or not.

If there was one thing that agitated Eden Opheria more then her father, it was bright lights. Everywhere she looked was bright colors, shinning lights and a shameful amount of gold. She internally cringed when her escort as left her side, biding her a good time before closing the doors behind her, announcing her early arrival.
"Oh boy," She mutters, pulling down the sleeves of her dress. She sticks a hand into her mini-purse, gently grazing the pads of her fingers against her loyal buddy, Ammon, before sitting down at one of the seats in the front corners.

Jayden just kinda awkwardly walked in, positioning himself at the very back. How the fuck did this happen!?!?! He raged in his mind, silently wanting to run away for his life. He didn't really have any suits except for one three-part one with black dress pants, a black suit jacket, and a buttoned white shirt that he thankfully had in the back of his small closet. He took a deep breath and put on a bright smile, mentally reminding himself to throttle whoever put his name into the raffle.

Kendall Calver walked into the great hall and took a seat on a small char in the corner. She straightened the skirt of her dress (((view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)])) and pulled a book out from her pocket. She began reading and humming to herself.

Eden swallows and rubs her hands together, ankles crossing as she looks foreword and swallows her words, instead she found herself setting Ammon on her shoulder and stroking the small creature's back with her fingertips. A smile appears on her lips as she softly greets everybody and closes her eyes, flushing as Ammon licks her cheek and makes a small sound.

Kendall pulled a small hair tie from her pocket and pulled her hair back in french braid pigtails (((view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)])) and went back to reading her book.

Kaya wandered into the Great Hall, looking around nervously. She was wearing a flowing green dress that she almost tripped on a few times as she walked inside. Shivering slightly, she began to describe the room in her head to calm herself down. It was an odd quirk, but it worked well. The writer glanced at the other people in there, wondering who they were. Meeting new people wasn't something she enjoyed doing, so she usually ended up watching them instead and making up random life stories for them. She never shared these stories, of course, but they were fun.

Jacky watched these richly clothed people quietly, a small smirk on her face as she scanned them up an down, adjusting her guard uniform absentmindedly and searching the room for her little brother, hoping for the sake of the potential person who could have hurt him that he was completely fine. (Attention; we have a tiger sister. Approach with caution)

Jayden adjusted his emerald green tie and decided to walk over to one of the other Selected. "Hello." He said with a friendly grin. (Can be to anyone)

Kaya jumped at the sound of Jayden's voice. She turned around to look at him. "Um... Hi." She said quietly. "Is- Is something wrong? Do you need me for something?" Her mind rushed to list all of the things she could have possibly done wrong in the two minutes she had been in here.

He chuckled softly and shook his head. "No, I was just wondering what you were writing? I'm Jayden." He said, hand held out to her. He decided that since he was technically one of the Selected, he didn't have to act as overly polite and quiet as usual.

Kaya nervously shook his hand. "I'm, uh, I'm Kaya Sphinx." She said. "I'm not really writing anything... important, it's just a practice thing."

Jayden nodded silently to the Prince and almost laughed; it felt strange being one of the people in one of these events that the prince was talking to. He whispered back; "It's nice to meet you Kaya, and I don't think it's unimportant."

Eden looks up, Ammon scrambling back into her purse. She wasn't technically suppose to have him in here, but hey could you blame here? She didn't trust anybody else to give him the love he needed.
She glances at the royal siblings, swallowing thickly as she takes a moment to take it all in and laugh to herself. They didn't want to be here as much as she did.

Aaralyn ran in, slightly behind her siblings. She smacked her brother's shoulder. "I will not fall on my face!" she protested. The youngest princess was wearing a short, simple blue dress with black flats. She addressed the Selected. "Uh, hi. Yeah." She nodded and stepped back next to her sister.

Kaya froze a bit. "...Thanks." She said, and glanced up at the royals.

Catalina confidently strode in behind him, a huge grin on her face as her gaze skipped from person to person. She wore a silk medium length pale gold-yellow dress with a white waist-band and her white heeled boots. "Hello." She said with a mischievous wave, hair held back with a white headband, stifling a snicker as she smirked at her sister.

Lazuli Celeste Hanlon strode into the hall, throwing back her silver-white hair and looking around with disconcerting sapphire-blue eyes. She adjusted the silver gown she wore, long-sleeved none side and bare-shoulder on the other, with a flowing skirt that was shorter in the front and shirred to one side. Her face was bare, other than highlighter and a sweep of black liner over each starry eye. Prove to them who you are, she thought, face an imperious mask.

Rose walked in her outfit(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] causing her to curse, both out loud and in her head. She rolled her eyes at her outfit that her mother had commissioned for her. Really? THIS ONE?!?!? It's so frigging itchyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, she thought, mentally groaning again. She saw the royals and her eyes widened a bit. She quickly took a seat and pretended to not exist.

Jayden caught his gaze and quickly averted his own, listening what he had to say. Okay, so I could take the easy way out then? He asked himself, going over his options because even though he didn't think he would win at all so there was no harm in just participating, he didn't know how he felt in being Selected.

Catalina was already distracted, thinking about what she could go do with all of the chaos this event could create; he tell-tale saccharine sweet smile appeared o her face, immediately causing Jayden and Jacky to stiffen, memories of her messes popping up in their minds with a slight shudder. She looked towards the girl who had cursed, taken out of her daydream and laughed quietly, smiling at her.

Eden swallows thickly and leans back, going over her plan. Just three weeks and then she'd leave, it'd be enough publicity for her to get enough money for her grandfather's bills and undo that debt.
She sits up a bit more, palms warming. A quiet curse leaves her lips as she slips out off the now burnt gloves and shoves them into her bag without anybody's notice.

Jayden heard an almost silent curse and looked towards a girl with her bag close to her and moved silently towards her. "Are you alright?" He asked, not seeing anything wrong but still concerned.

Aaralyn caught the smile on her sister's face. "Cat, I swear to the gods if you start pranking them without me..." She warned in a whisper, grinning.

Eden's pupils widen and she smiles, one of anxiety and concern as she nods her head. "Ah yeah, just a little- problem when I get anxious." she presses her hands together and closes her eyes. "Thank you for your concern." she says softly. She was a musician, she knew how to put on a nice face.

Abigail rushed in to the room. "Sorry!" she called out. "I had some trouble with my hair!" She took a seat in the second row and listened to the prince talk.

Cat shrugged with an innocent look on her face. "What makes you think that dear sister? You judge me too harshly." She whispered back; her version of ''I'm definitely thinking about it.'

Soft wrote: "Eden's pupils widen and she smiles, one of anxiety and concern as she nods her head. "Ah yeah, just a little- problem when I get anxious." she presses her hands together and closes her eyes. "Thank..."

Jayden tilted his head at her, not fully believing her but nodded, deciding to back off; It was her business. "You're welcome." He said kindly and moved back to his original spot next to Kayla.

The girl blinks, and he could just see the confusion on her face as she nods and grabs her bag, dipping her hand inside to pick something out of it and slip into her dress's pocket.
"Ah- yes of course." she smiles softly, and silently went to his side, fidgeting with her fingers.

Jayden watched the girl leave with Elias and turned back towards Kaya. "So, are you a demigod as well?" He asked politely and curiously.

Cat stuck her tongue out at him when no one else was looking but nodded, moving towards the Selected. "Hi!" She exclaimed, talking to all of them happily.

Abi looked up to see the princess walking towards the group and greeting them happily. "Hello!" she waved back.

"What are your names?" She asked, walking closer. She stopped as she saw a familiar face. "Hello Jayden!" She exclaimed, surprised. He smiled sheepishly and waved back, at the back of the group. She turned her attention back towards them as a whole.
