Pretty good Philip. I read some where that Kerouac did go to an AA meeting here near where I live. He lived in Hyannis, Massachusetts, where he married Stella- he was 44, she was a few years older. He didn't like it here, at the time it was a very sleepy town. They were only here for a couple of years before they moved back to Lowell. I can't find any documentation on the AA meeting because it's anonymous, so it was heresay; I forget who said it in an interview about Kerouac, as I have read so many.
I don't know the background to Kelley White's poem. She's a Goodreads author I know through a couple of poetry groups. I think she lives up in your part of the world.
