I am trying not to cry out of sheer happiness right now!! I just finished watching the trailer for the Captive Kingdom. And it is SO GOOD!!

OMGG! I saw it on Nielsen's page and I was just about to watch after these posts but thank you for sharing it haha.

Idk about the voice acting but it still makes me so hyped for this book!

Also, I don't know if I'll join in this month cause I just re-read the books, like the beginning of this year? for the third time? I can't re-read that often cause It'll wear the book out for me.

I finished the book early this morning and it was so good! I've already bought the next one in the series haha, I'm very glad it was chosen for this month 😄

Omg so glad to hear that, can I ask what was your favorite part of the book? And one favorite character so far?

I’d for sure say Sage was great; characters as clever / mischievous as that I usually find really annoying but I just loved how Sage was portrayed.
I don’t want to spoil it for anyone else that hasn’t finished yet, but my favourite part was will either the story of what happened to Jaron or the very end, it was so so good!

Yesss everyone loves Sage so ofc I do too. The witty mischievous characters are usually the ones I like :) My favorite part of the whole book was probably when Sage left Connor utterly dumbfounded and his constant wit in the dialogue got me. My favorite character just cause I've read all of the books has to be Roden and I wont say why because you haven't finished but I'm sure you'll understand when you do. Sage is of course at the top of the list as well. My favorite part of this series was just how fun it was, I read it when I was thirteen and fell in love with Jennifer A. Neilsen's writing. She's hands down one of my favorite authors because of it, if you like this one I deff recommend her other middle grades. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the next one..

Oh my goodness yes, that moment just left me with my mouth open! I’m also really curious now what you’re saying about Roden - I liked him at the start of the book and then by the end I wasn’t a fan so I’m excited to see what Nielsen does with him!
I’ve added lots of her books to my tbr now and I can’t wait to get started :)

Ok, I just finished chapter 43. So is Sage truly Prince Jaron? Don't tell me, I am finishing this at the beach later today. Gosh, I wish I had Book 2 here with me.

I totally GET why you all love Jennifer's writing. She is truly anamazing author.

That chapter was so so good. I know exactly what you mean - I'm just sitting and waiting, waiting for the next book to arrive; it feels like an eternity!

Yay!! We made Ann a Jennifer Nielsen lover!!! 😄😂 I knew you'd love it!! Yes! I remember reading that chapter!! 😂 I remember I was just sitting there calmly, enjoying this nice story they were telling of Jarons family when they it suddenly hit me HE'S PRINCE JARON!!!!!!!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱 It took me way to long to realize that. 😂😂 Such a wonderful book!!

My autographed copy of The False Prince FINALLY arrived today in the mail!!! 😃😃 I was overjoyed but then I opened the package and all of that joy deflated. I'm sure this sounds silly but there's two different copies of The False Prince and I only like one of them. Well, I thought I was getting the copy I like but they sent me the other copy. I'm highly disappointed for the amount of money I spent on it just to get the copy I don't like. Anyways though, I hope to maybe still read it this month. We'll see. 😉 It would be my third time!! 😃

Oh my goodness, a signed copy!! Which is the cover you got? I know there’s an old cartoonish one, a newer version of that (came out this year?) and one with a man on the front which I don’t like 😬
I’m just about to start reading the second book now - very excited! I assumed there were three in the series so am very excited about the 4th and now the 5th coming out next year!

The cover they sent me is this one The False Prince the one that I like is this one The False Prince. It's really sad because that's the one I ordered!! Yay!!! I loved the second one!! 😱😱Not more than the first one though. 😜 Yes! There was! It's been around five years since the third one came out but then Jennifer Nielsen decided to write more!!! 😱😱 Good decision if you ask me!! 😜

Ahh yes - when first bought them, I thought the original one was the only one, so I have that first one which isn't as nice (it was secondhand too so the cover is sadly bent 😭 ). When I ordered the other books in the series, they match the nicer cover so sadly they don't all quite match 🙈. This is the other cover I meant - The False Prince - it just doesn't seem to correlate with what I imagine of Sage or any of the other characters.
You'll have to keep us updated with what they say!

Aww! So sad!! Eww!! I see what you mean! That does not make me think of Sage! Okay, I will! So far nothing. 😞

Since I think it's safe to say that I'm the last person finishing this book up I don't think anything I say will give stuff away. 😂 So...

What did you guys think of what happened to Latamer? And what are your guy's opinions of Conner? And, most importantly, what do you think of Sage?

Also, did reading this book make you want to learn how to roll a coin over your knuckles??
