So... I really hated this book. It was full of cliches and whiny characters and love geometry and everything else I hate. Alina was your typical "I'm not pretty but everyone loves me" protagonist full of sass. The plot? Basically, she sat around at some school where a bunch of mean girls gossiped and waited for things to happen.

I forgot to mention how much I despise Mal Oretsev.
I can see why people would like it, though, and reading it was helpful when I started the Six of Crows duology, which is much better.

I'm reading the series to understand better the six of crows duology which I'm so anxious to read, and yeah, I can tell that Alina... well it's just not my type of character but I think the book is so easy to read that it's entertaining at that point, maybe I'll change my mind while finishing it, who knows...
