I finished three series:

2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started five series this month. I'm planning on continuing three of them. I loved

3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
Along with the series I completed above, I moved forward in one other series:
Lucy Kincaid by Allison Brennan
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I read two 5-Star Books:

5. Overall summary of your reading month?
I finished 10 books in September. I can't believe I started five series in one month. I want to try to finish more series than I start. ;)

Completed I started and completed 1 trilogy
up-to-date 4
Potrait of death - Isabel Wroth *
True immortality - S. Young*
The slave - S. J. Crusan*
The fallen men - Giana Darling
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started 3 new series. (I marked them with a * above) Got up-to-date in all of them and will definitely be continuing then.
3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
Yes besides all the ones I got up-to-date I moved forward with In death.
A few other as well (3 others) but I'm not sure if I will be continuing them. Two I think will be a sort of filler. That moment where you've just finished a great series/book and can't stop thinking about it. You need a book that just help come down from the high. Or you just need a book while deciding what you feel like reading [Haven, Texas - Laylah Roberts & Zandian Masters - Renee Rose ]
The other I'm undecided about. I was so disappointed with this one it might have turned me off completing or getting up to date with it. [Master's unleashed - Sparrow Becker]
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I didn't have 5*. But I did have a few 4.5*

Both of these are 4*. A new genre for this author and I think she pulled it off. Great characters and storyline. And I liked the writing style. And as the first book was a Scotsman looking for our heroine I loved it that much more. A few more to come and I've already had me a Scotsman & an Irishman although you'd not have known he was Irish. The next hero? I'll have to wait and see.

5. Overall summary of your reading month
29 Read books!! I actually don't know how I got to that number. A good month not only because of the number of books read but what I read was mostly good reads. A few new series. A few new authors, some good binge reads of new and old series and one or 2 disappointments and urghs.

1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month?
I completed one and got up to date in two:
Will Trent by Karin Slaughter
In Death by J. D. Robb
Scarlet Falls by Melinda Leigh
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started one new series, Callahan & McLane, which I plan to continue but putting it on pause until I finish it’s earlier connected series, Bone Secrets.
3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
I moved forward in three series:
DI Kim Stone by Angela Marsons
Lucy Kincaid by Allison Brennan
The MacGregors by Nora Roberts
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I had three 5-star books: Shadows in Death, The Switch & The Silent Wife. All three very different stories but kept me enthralled from start to finish. Special mention to First Blood, the prequel to the series I’d already started, which was outstanding.
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
I read 12 books, was hoping for a couple more but real life said no. However, for me the reading was again so fulfilling this month. I also had quite a few standalones that helped me complete my goal of having a healthy mix of those and series reading. I’m happy.

I hadn't planned on it which is that much more fulfilling Jonetta. And those new series where mostly mysteries. Never thought I'd read that many mysteries at one time. But then I suppose the romance or intrigue kept me reading the next and the next.
Had such a good September I'm struggling to start October. But with me I keep reading. I just make sure it not a favorite or a much awaited book. I have a few of those coming in October.

Wow! Great month. Your standout books I will definitely give them a try sometime!

Very productive month with your series. Very awesome!

I finished three series:

Congrats on finding 3 more series to continue with. Bummer on the 2 star for Cold Terror. Back to the drawing board for finding a Terror book. I trust your opinion, will not be giving that one a try.

We have such similar likes in books I'm sure you will enjoy it. For the last couple of months I've gotten some great suggestions from your list. And actually been reminded of some series or authors worth returning to.

Before you give up on it, I want to let you know that it is an easy read and it is short. If you can't find anything else, give it a try. There are a lot of people that read the book and liked it.

Completed 5
Started and Completed Love Me With Lies Trilogy Tarryn Fisher
Up In the Air RK Lilley
Surviving Raine Shay Savage
Wall Street Titan Duet Anna Zaires
Something In the Way Jessica Hawkins
Up to date 1
The Miles High Club TL Swan
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue? 5 yes to all

3. Did you move forward in any series (that you didn’t complete or finish)? How many? 9

4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?

Small town, shy awkward heroine, player hero some suspense my favorite formula

Goalie for pro soccer team is finally caught by his wife that he’s unfaithful. The husband does a good grovel.

Some wild twists in this

For a challenge I had to pick a book off of a list 100 books to read before you die. The movie doesn’t do this justice. I was laughing out loud every page.

Rock star, angsty, Ugly cry warning.

More angsty rock stars

My favorites of the month. This trilogy was wild. Love triangle with each player getting their own book. Major drama, wild twists.I wanted to throw my kindle many times.

This had one of the most hilarious scenes I’ve ever read in a book.
5. Overall summary of your reading month? I pretty much loved them or hated them .
27 books with 5 DNF. I read a lot of older series which have been collecting dust on my kindle

2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue? Yes - the Evelyn Tablot Series by Brenda Novak. I will definitely continue it

3. Did you move forward in any series (that you didn’t complete or finish)? How many?
I move forward Passport to Peril Mystery series.

4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I really enjoy two books, both 4/5.
Her Darkest Nightmare - It was a great start to a great series. Very chilling but very well written.
Second Honeymoon by James Patterson - This was a nice easy read. Lots of suspense and action. I really like it.
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
I had another great month of reading three books and I finally my goodreads challenge.

I thought I was an over achiever last month. Yippee for us that had more good than bad.
I see what you mean by angst. They all sound heavy on it. But I am intrigued by The Takeover.
Love that you're moving forward with T. M. Frazier. Haven't read her other series. Maybe I should give it a go this month🤔
RK. Liley I also enjoyed greatly. Will you be reading her other trilogy?

Love when I get to finish a challenge 👏👏
Look like you had a successful month. Reading good book can't be anything else, right?

I completed 2 series this month:
The School for Good and Evil series by Soman Chainani
Finishing School series by Gail Carriger
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started the Cousin's O'Dwyer trilogy by Nora Roberts and I will definitely continue it.
3. Did you move forward in any series (that you didn’t complete or finish)? How many?
I moved forward in the Lucy Kincaid series (#4) by Allison Brennan.
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I've enjoyed all the books in the School for Good and Evil series, so it's no surprise that I gave the last book 5 stars as well. I loved the characters. I also gave 5 stars to Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills. This YA book surprised me in the best way. The characters and situations brought back memories from high school.
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
I read some great books this month and am proud of myself for staying on track with my reading plan.

I completed one trilogy and got caught up in one series.

2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
Yes. I started 3 and will continue with them...Hot and Badgered was the best of the three

3. Did you move forward in any series (that you didn’t complete or finish)? How many?
I moved forward in 3 series.

4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
No but one 4.5 star. Into the Night by Suzanne Brockmann
I loved Mike Muldoon so much and if it hadn't been for Joan constantly bringing up his being too young for her I may have liked her more and given the book 5 stars. She rehashed the age difference over and over and over with either direct or indirect statements. Indirect like calling Mike, Junior. Looking forward to the next book.
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
Completed 1, got caught up on 1, started 3 new, moved forward in 3 series, and read 6 stand-alone books makes for 14 books read this month. The past few months I've been reading more than that but I had an out of town guest in for 10 days and I helped mom and dad put a dent in their attic clean up plan during that same time. No reading for me during that time period so overall I am definitely not mad at my reading for the month.

One common theme this month? You all seemed to enjoy your reading, a lot! What is it about September?
Anyway, just wanted to say how great it is to see so much book love along with series progress💜

I will read all of RK Lilley eventually, I love her style. My favorite is Arranged. Have you read that one? The Takeover is book #2. The Stop Over is Book 1. They are about different brothers. I liked book 1 a lot too, but it wasn’t funny so I was surprised how funny The TakeOver is. I’m enjoying King series. I wish there wasn’t a 4.5 before Preppy’s book. Damn.

Lol, thanks! I always wonder if I ramble on too much. My post is always long. I love Ten Tiny Breaths! In Her wake is listed on Goodreads as #.5 and no way would I read that before book #1. I read it after and I am so happy I did. It would spoil the whole book IMO. Those two books gutted me. That’s why it took so long for me to read this one.

I noticed that as well Jonetta. We all had a great month. For me I'll say it's the start of spring. Crazy weather with all the seasons in one day, I mean sunshine, that over cast, then a quick hale storm and before you know it the sun is shining again. All in one day. Makes one want to stay indoors and read. That and nothing new on TV. 😂

I haven't read Arranged. Have read anything of hers in a while. As I mentioned before you are getting me to start reading authors that I've taken a break from for some or other reason. I thank you kindly 🙇🏻♀️
Think I'll read Stopover first I'm looking for some laughs. And it sounded like a good one.
As for King? I read it in the middle of it all as it were. So I didn't even know Preppy was coming. Then he got his book. Thank goodness I didn't dive in immediately and. Foudn out it's two books⁉️ I waited. Because cliffhangers.
I really need to read N9ne: The Tale of Kevin Clearwater. Sometimes I forget about her because I'm always waiting for the next book before I start. ( why oh why does this author always torture us with ahveing to wait for the conclusion? Why not write it a in one go🤔)
