Rasmus (electronicrasmus) | 10 comments Just Finished Warbreaker, pretty good, but man the pacing is weird.
From a 500 page book, spends 300 pages on exposition mostly, at page 400 shit starts happening, and then from like 450 to the end its just one continuous giant mess of action that spans like a few hours in universe, and then like 4 pages of rushed epilogue.
Brandon Sanderson seems to tend to do this with all the books ive read from him, very slowly raise the tension over the span of most of the book, then have a huge confrontation where everything happens at once but lasts like a single day in-universe, and then epilogue seeing the aftermath.
Maybe the next thing from him ill read will be the White Sands saga or Elantris, i kinda wanna leave the Stormlight Archive for the end.
