Finally starting
After reading King's intro, I cannot imagine reading this while flying and I kind of hope they don't sell it at airport bookstores!

I love stories. So happy you chose this one for October. Because I read multiples at a time it is nice to spot between other reads. I read King’s intro aloud to my husband who was also appropriately amused and terrified. This is going to be a fun ride.

I always feel disappointed when he releases a book that doesn't have one and when I get to the end and there is ALSO an afterword, I feel like I've hit the jackpot!
King’s intros are always the best. I love listening to him talk. The a sort of irreverent reverence to the way he speaks about storytelling that is special. Like if anyone else were to do it, they’d come across as either making fun of it or superficial. However, even when poking at something, King gives it authority.
