I'm going to start this today and try to splice these stories in between other things I am reading throughout October. I really enjoyed this entire collection so am looking forward to it.Great choice. Again! ;-)

I hope to do a story a day here and there throughout the month. Seems like I have spread myself pretty thin bookwise lately - but I love it! 😁

The Horror of the Heights - pretty good speculative sci-fi considering it was written about ten years after the first flight.
Nightmare at 20,000 Feet - this is THE DEFINITIVE horror story based on flight. It's the one that even people who are not readers probably know of in some form.

Even if you only watch the Twilight Zone Marathon on New Year's each year. They always show this episode. It's a classic.
Nightmare at 20,000 feet. What was telling to me about the time period in which this was written is how easily a man carried a gun onto a plane. That said it was chilling. And a true horror that leaves you wondering about mental illness vs paranormal.
Lucifer! I love the premise of a time machine ring and 57 seconds is so specific. Especially when viewed as an eternity...
Two Minutes and Forty Five Seconds was the first one I didn't really care for. I just didn't get the point. Maybe I was too tired when I read it!
I read the introduction this morning. I love King's introductions almost as much as I love the books that follow. I'll read a story at a time beginning this evening.
I loved a few of the stories and went meh about others. The Nightmare at 20,000 Feet is classic. The Artifact was great and so was the one about torture. The Paul Tremblay story was good but not sure it was appropriate for this collection. It was more who-dun-it than horror.

I don't have a Paul Tremblay story in mine . . . I have the original hardcover, did they release another edition with more stories?
I also don't have a story in mine called The Artifact.

I don’t know where my brain was when I wrote that. The artifact story I mentioned was the story Diablitos. The Paul Tremblay was definitely Murder in the Air by Peter Tremayne. That’s what I get for trying to babysit and write a post. *facepalm*

Well, I just realized I meant to say "don't have" The Artifact in mine. So, you are not alone in typos! 😃 But, that makes sense it is Diablitos. I liked that one.
I just finished Air Raid and liked it a lot!
