Aaralyn walked into the sitting room and spotted Jayden. "Aha! Finally! Another human!" She flopped onto the couch next to him. "Can't really interview you though, I already know you."
Jayden almost jumped out of his skin, just barely catching his guitar and laying it carefully beside him. He stood up and bowed out of habit. "Hello Princess!" He said, a sheepish look on his face.
Jayden slowly sat down and chuckled. "Actually nothing really. I was bored so I wanted to play my guitar." He said shrugging.
"Huh. Have you met any of the other people yet?" Aaralyn asked. "I'm helping Dad out, I challenged him to see if he could figure out all the backstories of all the Selected."
"Yeah, but it wasn't really to challenge him so much as I just wanna know but I'm too lazy to do it by myself." The princess shrugged.
Aaralyn nodded. "Thank you." She stood up. "I'm gonna head to the library now, see if there's anyone in there. Bye!"
Abi entered the sitting room and just took a seat in the corner of the L-shaped sofa with a soft blanket.
The king entered. "Abigail Maria Jefferson, isn't it, but you go by Abi? I'm here to interview you, all of the selected need to be interviewed." (Sorry, I just realized that I just interviewed your other character oh well)
((No, it's fine! I actually have three characters, so you'll have to interview me three times anways. May as well get it done sooner father than later.))
Abi looked up. "Uh!" she started, a bit unsettled. "No, of course not. I'ts a fine time. Ask away."

(Okay, I'm going to just ask all of the questions in one comment, but we can just pretend it's a bunch of separate one.)
The king asks "Name and age?
Place you're from?
Your feelings toward the prince?
What you will do to help the kingdom if you are selected?
Why you want to win the selection?
Why do you think you are the best for the prince?
What is your backstory?"

He sits on a different couch and reclines.
Abi looks at the kind and replies to his first question. "Like you stated upon entering, I am Abigail Jefferson, but I go by Abi and I am nineteen years old."
((What kingdom is this even anyways?))
For the second question, Abi didn't quite know what to say, she preferred not to talk about her past. "I was born in the north of the country, but when my dad died, my stepmom, stepsister, and I all moved farther west."
"I haven't met the prince yet, but I'm sure he's really nice and understanding."
"I will create an organisation that regulates how children are being treated. If a child is found in an abusive home, he or she will be moved to a new home with loving parents." Quietly, she added to herself, "Like I wish someone would've done for me."
"I would like to win the selection to get away from my step-mother and -sister and prove that 'freaks like me' are actually good for something."
"I think I am good for the prince because," Abi hesitated. "I actually don't know. As I said, I haven't met him, so I don't really know what would be best for him."
At the last question, Abi got nervous and began crying. She would prefer to not talk about her past. "I'd prefer not to say," she said, trying to conceal her tears. "Let's just say it's not very nice."

(Idk what kingdom) "Very nice, thank you. Anyway bye, I need to go do another interview"
"No problem." Abi nodded her head in respect to teh king.
The king walks out of the room

Jayden walked in and sat down on one of the couches, taking out his guitar and tuning it, strumming absentmindedly as he tried to let time go faster.
