ElizabethAnne | 35 comments This doesn't seem like a very "Mini" challenge lol

1 - Read a "long" book (over 500 pages) - For readers under 13, page count over 250 pages. Can be multiple books
2 - Read a "short" book (under 250 pages) - For readers under 13, page count under 100 pages. Can be multiple books
3 - COMPLETED! The Great Trouble: A Mystery of London, the Blue Death, and a Boy Called Eel
Pick 5 of your favorite genres and enter them in a randomizer. Read a book in that genre
4 - COMPLETED! Small Spaces
Read a "spooky" book (your own definition of spooky is fine)
5 - Read a book that is 75% one color on the cover.
6 - Read a book that was published in the last 18 months
7 - Read a book that was published more than 100 years ago - For readers under 13 years old, a book published more than 10 years ago.
8 - COMPLETED! When the English Fall
Read a book set in the Fall or with a cover that looks like it is Fall (leaves changing, etc)
9 - Read a book set in the Spring or with a cover that looks like it is Spring (trees blooming, etc)
10 - COMPLETED! The Halloween Tree
Read at least 75% of a book when it's dark outside - For readers under 13, it must be read 75% after dinner, but doesn't have to be when it's dark outside.
11 - Read at least 75% of a book outside (please social distance... a park or back patio will do fine)
12 - COMPLETED! Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection
Read a book with an animal (real or made up) on the cover
13 - Read a book with a main character or author whose first name starts with the same letter as your first name.
14 - Take five books you really want to read and put them in a randomizer and read whichever one is chosen.
15 - COMPLETED! Skulduggery Pleasant
This series is set in Ireland which is a place I would love to visit!
Read a book that is set in a location you wish you could visit or live in. This location can be real or imaginary.

ElizabethAnne | 35 comments Completed my first book for the month! I read Small Spaces by Katherine Arden for prompt #8 - a book set in the fall.

This is a middle grade horror about a school group that goes to a farm for a field trip. There are creepy scarecrows and fog and a ghost story and it was all legitimately creepy. I thought it was fantastic and a great read for this time of year. Would highly recommend!

ElizabethAnne | 35 comments Finished prompt #10 - Read a book when it's dark out. I read The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury. The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury

Also, switching my last book, Small Spaces, to fill prompt #4 instead of 8 because I just picked up another book set in the fall.

ElizabethAnne | 35 comments Completed 2 more prompts!

I finished The Great Trouble: A Mystery of London, the Blue Death, and a Boy Called Eel for #3 - random genre. I ended up with historical fiction and this is a middle grade novel about the 1854 Cholera Epidemic in London. Really well written and interesting!

Also finished Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection which I'm counting for prompt #12 - animal on the cover. My edition has a bird on the cover, small but definitely there! Arcanum Unbounded The Cosmere Collection by Brandon Sanderson

Currently working on prompts 1, 9, and 14

ElizabethAnne | 35 comments Completed prompt #15 Skulduggery Pleasant (Skulduggery Pleasant, #1) by Derek Landy

Skulduggery Pleasant is set in Ireland which is a place I would love (and hope) to visit someday! This was a reread for me. I was trying to decide if I wanted to continue on with the series and I am for sure going to check out book 2 in the series!

ElizabethAnne | 35 comments Finished When the English Fall When the English Fall by David Williams

Using this for prompt #8 - a book set in the fall. This book takes place from September to November and is Post apocalyptic Amish fiction because evidently there is such a thing.
