I have read and enjoyed both of Angie Thomas's books! I am looking forward to discussing On the Come Up in book club. :)
So here's where I admit that I've never read any of Thomas's books. (!!) I know. I've apparently been under a rock. No, in truth, I get a little nervous about highly talked about books. I'm a bit of a hipster that way; if everyone's heard about it and says it's good, is it even good? Sometimes yes and sometimes no. So while I've been meaning to read The Hate U Give for approximately forever, I have yet to do so.
When it comes to On the Come Up, I have to admit that this doesn't really seem like a book that I would've picked for myself. The synopsis didn't immediately grab me. However, I think I'll be willing to read it... eventually.
