I had considered Tate Publishing and even submitted a manuscript, but after hearing some negative comments from some other writers I decided to not go with them. I was told that they make the writer pay for services such as editing and art and don't get much promotion unless they pay for that as well. Yet that wasn't the big turn off for me. It was the number of complaints from writers that said the editing service was poor and they ended up with published works full of typos and mistakes. Tate was not the only publishing service I heard this about. So I ended up contracting each service myself and publishing through a print on demand service that gives me full exposure through all the big distributors and doesn't charge me a dime. They only take a fee off of each purchased book and I get to set the price of the sale and keep all of my rights.

The question asked was does anyone know anything about Tate Publishing Co. I am in the middle of a contract with them...so rather than say anything, may I recommend typing in "tate publishing blogs" and reading some customers experience. Quite extraordinary how it mirrors my experience. Good Luck, keep writing and reading
