This book made me cry my heart out at 1 am.

I went into work the next day after finishing it and I had to tell my work friend that I am actually so scarred from this book and unsure how long it'll be until I emotionally recover from this :'(

Well I didn’t realize Queen of Shadows was a series, so I read the back, and it says something like ‘her best friend was being held hostage in the royal dungeons’. So then I figured out it was a series, and thought Assassin’s blade was the first. And when it got to the part where she was wondering if Sam would come back, I assumed he was the one that’s was in the dungeon so I was like “oh it’s fine. I know he’ll come back” I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Assassin’s blade is the first one. No one can convince me otherwise!
