YA romance discussion

Has anyone read this yet? I have started and it is a bit slow at the moment but I am quite excited as it has got quite a bit of hype and I love Morgan Matson's Amy and Roger's Epic Detour.

I feel like this book had a lot of hype when it first came out but has died down now. Does anyone feel the same?

I did start reading it but to be honest I haven't got back there. I just got a bit bored the protagonist complaining about her best friend not being there which i guess is the main crux of the story ahahh
