Saylia sat down at a table on the patio, sipping a cup of coffee.

Serena walked out proudly in black pants and a very short blue shirt. ugh she thought. The sun was almost setting yet ridiculously hot. She saw Saylia planted in the patio and joined her.

((Wait, you keep changing your character's name - first Serena, then Selene, then Selena. Which one is it??))

Saylia looked at Serena. "Hey. Glad to see you back at school."

(argh sorry ayla.)

"Not like im really going to ditch."

"I never said that," Saylia said, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "All I said was that I was glad to see you. Wow, it really must be that hard to believe."

Saylia's face tightened. "It was...okay. Pretty low key," she lied easily.

(np! or rush!) "Lucky. I had to spend it all. With my ridiculous parents and siblings." Serena said annoyed. She pushes a bead of sweat down her back to cool her down.

"Lucky you have two parents," Saylia said pointedly.

(ouch I really should have read her profile) "I'd gladly give one of mine to you"

Saylia rolled her eyes. "It wouldn't be the same, and you know that."

"Seriously take both. I'll call them right now"

"Whatever," Saylia frowned.

"sorry" Serena says. Saylia was one of the few people that should could actually say sorry to it without it being false. Though she would never admit to it and kept her wall up most of the time anyway.

"It's fine," Saylia sighed. She brushed a loose strand of her platinum blonde hair out of her face. "So how's life? What've your parents done this time?"

"what havn't they done? I'm so glad that I'm gone." she pauses "I wish we were roommates. My parents would freak out if they knew though"

"Yeah..." Saylia trailed off. "We can still have sleepovers, though."

"of course. Your welcome anytime"

"You as well. Anyways, I'm sure we'll be having a lot of new arrivals this term, as always. Which is just great," Saylia paused, annoyed. "Because I have to greet every single one of those new Year 1s."

Serena laughed a little evily...but more amused. "ya good luck with that. I should probably wish everyone else luck as well too"

"Don't," Saylia warned. "Please don't, it's awful. The Institute makes me do it..."

"fine fine fine" Serena conceeds a chanting smile still on her face.

Saylia smiled, then yawned. "I'd better get to sleep. I'll probably have another welcoming job in the morning, early. Night!"

Saylia frowned apologetically, then walked out.

Serena waved goodbye. Then when she was gone, she collected herself and walked out to her new apartment. Alone for now.

Saylia walked to the patio and sat down, lost in thought.

Serena stepped out. Despite the breeze, she could feel the moisture through the air and that was comfort enough.

Saylia gave no notice of Serena, still immersed in her own thoughts.

((its np!! :D)) Serena just moved further into the distance, tasking a seat at a respectable distance from Saylia.

Saylia finally snapped out of it and frowned at Serena. "Oh, it's you."

Serena turned her head "it is me." she said unsure what her facial expression should be, so she left it blank.

Saylia raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

"Why are you mad?"

"Who said I was mad?" Saylia smirked slightly.

"You stormed out of the cafe glowing bright red" she says quirking her own eyebrow.

"Well, you were being an idiot," Saylia said flatly.

Serena shakes her head "fine."

"So you admit it?"

"I admit I was a little too victorious in the cafe"

"'A little?' Okay. Yeah, I don't know what got into you. I mean, on your little sister? What did she ever do to you? She's not even annoying," Saylia said, frowning.

"For one. I've always done this. And 2. It was a little fun. I wasn't going to do anything serious."
