A Bookish Adventure... discussion

I've been hesitant about adding this to my tbr... what are your thoughts?

I’ve read the first book: A Curse So Dark and Lonely, and I thought it was okay, but I probably won’t be picking up the rest of the series. I’d still recommend it though!

I've also seen mixed reviews, and a very angry booktube video about gay representation.

Ahh yes. Not hard to guess who made that. I saw that too.

I think it was good representation, but I suppose I can’t say 100% how it is and really only people who identify as gay can. But for what t was I enjoyed it. Overall I read book one and although I did like it I felt it could’ve been way better as a stand-alone. So I’m treating it that way. And after the negative reviews of book 2 I think I’m good.

Eh. I'm reading the second book (just finished the first one) and, eh. It was alright. I'm hating the second one, though.
