Ahhh I won’t lie guys, I’m kind of nervous about the whole series. I have a feeling it will be one huge mixture of pain, happiness and sleep deprivation 😂
Ahhhhh. TOG gives me vampire diaries vibes not that it’s supernatural or whatever but it seems like it has the same level of drama and messiness maybe? I actually think I’ll like it but I need to make sure I’m emotionally invested before I go into it 😭.
Also I know what you mean! I’ve encountered a lot of SJM fans and when I say I haven’t read her books they look at me like I’m crazy haha

I have just finished the Throne of Glass series and immediately started ACOTAR.. I am so sorry for what is about to happen to you Aliyah, I cannot put them down. haha

I haven't read her books yet... I am soon gonna read ToG. I want my own, physical copy so I have like - a mark for it, you know? I'm really excited!!
Aahana wrote: "You should be! And I totally get what you mean! It's sooo good, I just can't imagine not having a hardcover of my favourite book <3And FYI, I am going to spam you like no one in the history of spa..."
I'm armed ;)
So If I want to start with her books should I start with ToG or ACOTAR or crescent city? I don't know what to do u.u
I started with ACOTAR and i absolutely love it. I've read it a million times, then i read Throne of glass and then i read her most recent book. ACOTAR is much shorter there are only 3 main books, a small novela and then she is coming out with another book next year.
Throne of glass there are 6 books, each book gets longer and longer hahah
I started with ACOTAR because i felt a little overwhelmed with the 6 books. So i thought the shorter series would be better for me. But it's up to you! Do you want to read about the assassin Caleana Sardothein? OR
Feyre the girl who killed a wolf and is now forced to go to the fae lands? OR
Bryce Quinlan, whose best friend got murdered and now has to find the killer?
Aahana wrote: "The only one I have read is Throne of Glass, and it's my fav! It's also considered her least... mature book, if you know what I mean. Start with it, it'll be a good way to get the gist of her writi..."Also Aahana, you've never read ACOTAR?! :0
the thing is the three series sound so good I can't decide one to start with hahaha but maybe I will start with acotar (since I have the 2 first books) and maybe then read ToG
Valentina, that’s what I’m doing! I’ve read ACOTAR already and it was really good. Im going to finish the series and read TOG as well.
I found ACOTAR to be more driven forward by characters you deeply connect with, while TOG is a lot more of plot and action if that helps you choose where to start. Still waiting for HOEAB to arrive from the library lol!
I read ACOTAR first (Literally all 4 books within 5 days) I currently have Crescent city on my shelf but I haven't started it yet. Eventually I plan on buying TOG to read too.
Hey Aahana, thanks a lot for the invite but I haven't read any of SJM's books till now( although they have been on my list for quite some time). I am thinking of getting a book of hers on Christmas or maybe on my birthday which is also coming up. But I am confused whether to start with Throne of Glass or with A Court Of Thorns and Roses.
I read ACOTAR first and I loved it, it was my favorite series by far. I just finished Tog and I am planning on reading Crescent City eventually.
I've read the first five books of ToG and kinda gave up on the sixth one (Tower of Dawn) cuz i really didn't like it. I'm probably gonna stay the series again over winter breakI got my copy of Crescent City ready to go and I'll probably start that today
I'll start ACOTAR as soon as I can. (I bought it and now it's just sitting on my shelf)
Im new lol. I have read ACOTAR - ACOWAR (waiting for my friend to finish it before reading ACOFAS) and i am 60% through Crown Of Midnight. Also read Crescent City which is a must read if u havent already.
So I heard that there's a better order to read the throne of glass series. Does anyone have recommendations for something different or should I read it straight through?
I’m currently on A Court of War and Ruin in the ACOTAR series and I just bought the Throne of Glass series. I’ve heard mixed feedback, but should I start the ToG series with Assassin’s Blade or Throne of Glass? Would reading Assassin’s Blade first spoil the series?
Ahh I thought I responded to this but ig not..
Start with The Assassin’s Blade! It’s a prequel so no spoilers, to gives insight into Celaena’s character, introduces you to the world very well and you see loads of cool characters that may or may not pop up later, AND it tells you how Celaena gets to where she is T the beginning of TOG. So I say start with TAB!
Happy reading! :)

Hi all! I have read pretty much all Sarah J Mass books up to date but I am new to this group. I just wanted to say hello. 😊
Hi everyone!! I just finished the ACOTAR series and now I don’t know what to do with my life, the last book was SO good 🥲 I read the first Throne of Glass book but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the ACOTAR books (even though I still liked it a lot). Apparently the second book in the throne of glass series is better than the first? Can anyone who read the series tell me if they enjoyed it as much as ACOTAR series? Thankyou!!!
Me, me, pick me! I'm a newbie!I'm only on Book 2 of ACOTAR and have the TOG series waiting very patiently in my kindle. I couldn't pass up that Amazon deal from a couple weeks ago...all books for like $8 or something!?
My first impressions are that the books start off slowly, but once they pick up...they really pick up! I love how everything is tying in together and how characters are being fleshed out.
I'm definitely a SJM fan after just one book!
I just started reading the Throne of Glass series yesterday. #DontJudgeMe 🤣🤣 BUT I have already read all of ACOTAR and the first book of the Crescent City series. I’m so engulfed in Sarah’s work! I can’t believe it took me so long to find her but all the thanks goes to my niece!
So glad you guys are enjoying them!!! TOG definitely is a whirlwind of the series, the foreshadowing is out of this world!! Keep us updated :))

It is now an obsession that I am proud of and I hope you'll like the rest as much as I did.
Hello everyone!! I am new to this group and really look forward to any kind of discussion. The only book I haven't read of Sarah J. Maas' would be CC because I live in the middle east and it is a bit hard to find her book anywhere here unless it is stolen and I would like to support her. My favorite of the two series is ACOTAR and yes I do have an obsession with Nesta and Az and Cas.
Oh that’s so sad! It’s sad when I’m certain places they won’t publish authors books, I know that some books aren’t published bc they call out the governments for being non democratic
Heyy Guys...!!Nice to finally join an active club & have someone to discuss about the things that go through my mind after finishing a book(none of my friends read books so I always have many things on mind to share)
I got ACOTAR series box set like 3 months ago...for which I was sooo excited.
But I'm kind of Intimidated to start the read...worried if it will meet the expectations as its super Hyped....
I usually annotate & tab the books which im beyond excited about
I want to annotate these and take my time reading them
I'll share my thoughts once I start my read...
Hope this will turn out to be what i thought it will be...\/
Hey! I have a question. I read acotar and I wanna read tog but I have no idea where I should put Assasins blade. Any recommendations?
Personally I think starting off with it is the way to go! But if you’d rather use it as a backstory type thing later on, read it anytime before QOS (that’s when several relevant characters from assassin’s false make returns and knowing them before is helpful).
Hey guys! I’m some what of a newbie still I guess. The only Sarah J. Maas books I’ve read are the first two books in the ACOTAR series. Which of her other series should I start after I finish ACOTAR?
hi! i’m new to the ACOTAR series i just finished the second book! but i am obsessed and i am even more obsessed with rhysand and feyre! just came to say hi, i’m new and open to any comments or recommendations anyone has :)
As my favourite SJM series is TOG, I always am going to push for people to read it and I shall do it to you!! This series is her magnum Opus (I said what I said). It’s a long series, yes, but this means ALL of the characters are so well fleshed out they feel so so real.
The relationships are literally all slow burn (the endgame ones, at least) and they are by far the best ships SJM has created. The plot is so rich and complex with foreshadowing in BOOK ONE for important details that come to play in the last books that is just so well thought out. No series has as many stunning character arcs.
As I said, we follow our MC through essentially 7 books of character arc. Her journey is one of the best I have ever read. I could go on and on but if this hasn’t convinced you to dive in deep to TOG, idk what else will.
And, the 10 year anniversary of the first book plus novella collection is this summer , and if SJM decided to do something for it, this is the perfect time to prepare for that!
I’m about to finish my fourth read through of the series (it is my one true source of comfort in books).
And I can say it gets better every time to pick up new details and lines and simple things that just make your heart beat faster. So yeah, read TOG <3 you won’t regret it :)

100%!
They’re separate series and none will have any spoilers for the other :)
After you read TOG I highly recommend CC if you haven’t already read it. I do think it’s best read after you’re caught up with all of SJM’s works though because it has fun Easter eggs in it 🫣
