She was born into a family of teachers but she has always had empathy towards animals. When she was of age her parents let her become a Veterinarian helper. She works for the veterinarian in her village. Her parents signed her up for the selection because they have always wanted a higher caste

Marissa Redek, or Mari, as she is known to her friends, grew up as a happy child. She never knew her father, as he was an alcoholic and walked out when he realised that Mari's mother, Tali, was pregnant. Because she never knew what her father was like, and nobody every talks about him, she doesn't want him back.

As a little kid, Mari was always jumping around and spinning. Seeing her daughter's natural talent, Tali enrolled her in a dance school. Quickly advancing through the levels, Mari soon became one of the best dancers in her school. Now, Mari is one of the youngest prima ballerina's in the history of her school, and very happy in her position.

Personality ~
Mari is a very introverted gal. She would rather be in her room reading a book than out partying with her friends, of which she has few. She is fiercely loyal to the few friends she does have, even though she might not look like it. She is quiet and reserved unless you offend her friends, and then, you will be a very sorry person. She is kind and loving, but also very emotionally sensitive. If you offend her, she won't show it in public, but when she gets home or it alone with friends, she will get very emotional.

History: Hanna has been home schooled by her mother ever since she was three years old. She has been sewing since that age too. Her parents and older sister only want what's best for her, which is why they sent her to sign up for the selection. She never wanted to, but she'll do anything for her family, so she did it anyway. She just hopes to win the prince's heart in time. Her dad is sick. He needs an expensive medication for his heart and if she doesn't win, doesn't get far in this competition, he'll die. Even the participation money won't be enough, so it's up to Hanna to save her dad.
Personality: Hanna is hardworking, intelligent, competitive, loyal, and kind to those around her. She loves animals and dancing, but they don't pay the bills, so she's forced to abandon them to work. She'll do anything for those around her, and tries her best to show people how much she cares.
Motto: "Why be rude to someone based on the simple fact of not liking them? Best to be kind to all; you never know what's going on under the surface" ~ Me, I said that.
Family: Hanna was born, and remains, a 6. Her mom is a waitress and her dad is a store clerk. She has one older sister, Celeste, who, despite Hanna's best efforts, despises her. Her sister Celeste is also a Seamstress.
Fears: Hanna is scared of a lot. She has anxiety, and with that, a growing fear for those around her. Once she gets close to someone, it's hard for her not to fear for them. She is also scared of snakes, spiders, and heights, but as a 6 she has had little exposure to them and still finds them rather terrifying.
Goals: Her goal, obviously, is to win the prince's heart. Despite not wanting to apply in the first place, she knows that this is what's best for her family. If she is not to win, she wants to better her skills as a seamstress. If she's going to be a 6 for the rest of her life, why not be good at her job as one?
Hamartia: He heart; she's easy to catch the feels and is loyal to those close to her. Unfortunately it also makes her blind to the reality causing her to be easily manipulated and abused without her knowing.

She was an early graduate of Law School, and is currently working as a lawyer for a law firm near her house. Since she was a child, Santanna has had a secret passion for dancing, spending her nights alone in her room dancing her heart out. She hides this from her family and everyone else since she is in Caste 3, not 5 where dancers are.

History: Wren grew up with her mother, father, brother, and sister. Her older brother, Lawrence, moved out a year ago with his wife and still keeps in touch, and her younger sister recently grew an interest in a four.

Wren hasn't ever fallen in love with anyone, as if there were someone for her to really fall in love with, and instead spent her time practicing music, or reading the novels her family were lucky to have. Her only friends are two twins, Max and Maya, and a single child, Laurel, who almost never get to see each other any more since they're all busy working and helping taking care of their own families.

When she was accepted into the Selection, her parents and sister were sad to see her go, but wished her good luck. Her friends managed to say goodbye to her before she was whisked away from Labrador.
