He was a possibility and he was someone she would meet. His motivation was weak, but the guy was crazy. Me? I would have gone after the parents. It was their swinger lifestyle that grabbed all the media attention.
Kip and Alexis were seriously imbalanced, which makes me wonder what happened in their upbringing. His turn against Peter was sociopathic and I just believe it was easier for him to focus his wrath (and guilt) on him because he had no other outlet. When he graduated and Peter later vanished, his larger plan developed.
Kip was my number one suspect for most of the book. After we read about Peter's love of writing in high school, I figured he might have changed his name to Kip and got a job with Rosemary in order to kill her and others that she mentioned in the book. I knew Kip wouldn't be able to get into Quantico easily, so I figured he had a partner staying there.
Kip was on and off my list a couple times. I honestly didn't latch on to him until later in the book.
Kip was on my list from the beginning, he drifted offstage for a while, but reappeared in my detecting!
He did not become a suspect until it was revealed that he was connected to Alexis. I can understand why he was so mad, but I didn't quite understand why he wanted to kill Peter. Peter had nothing to do with his sisters death. Anita is right, it was his parents lifestyle that took the attention away from his sister.
