Akiko walked out of her house, and she saw Ethan. She flashed him a smile.

Akiko smiled as she turned through different neighborhoods, leading Ethan back to where he lives.
"So . . . ," she searched for a good topic of conversation. "What do you . . . do . . . ?" she asked awkwardly. "In life, I mean," she added quickly.
