I'm learning German too, but I'm not that good

ich lerne deutsch - i’m in my first year. I like it a lot.

I don’t know any german... only english and spanish

I have a problem tho- for my gsce exams I have to pick 1 language, 1 humanity and I have 2 extra subjects. there are 2 languages and 2 humanities I want to take, so i would be fine, but one of my extras has to be drama or i’ll stop enjoying school. so I have to drop german, french, philosophy or geography :((

So, I need help...
I had to put Modal Verb in this sentence:
Klaus______ schwimmen lernen. Also geht er ins schwimmbad

My teacher said it should be Will but I wrote mochte(With the umlaute) she said that mochte is wrong but won't it be right?? Klaus wants to learn swimming and go to the pool.

Or should it be will??

I want to learn German too but I don't know very much at all!

"Will" and "möchte" have the same meaning, "möchte" is simply more polite. So if one of those words works, the other one works too. Both solutions are correct.

Yet I didn't get marks for that question 😶

Ah I'm sorry, but it's probably because "will" is a stronger verb, so Klaus really wants to learn how to swim, not just it would be nice to do so. I rarely use "möchte" anyways (in Swiss German it's way less common than in German German :P)

Anything by Cro (Einmal um die Welt), Namika (e.g. Lieblingsmensch), Falco (if you like old school) and a summer classic (but otherwise they're really not good in my opinion): Ohne mein Team by Bonez MC.

If there's a specific genre you like I can recommend more bands / artists :)

Hallo, ich spreche auch Deutsch. Ich habe meine C1 Prüfung im November 2020 geschafft. Ich wohne in den Niederlanden und studiere hier für Deutsch Lehramt. Ich bin hoffentlich im Juli fertig und werde dann zu meinem Mann ziehen in Deutschland.

Ich versuche immer mein Deutsch zu verbessern und mehr Menschen kennenzulernen die Deutsch sprechen oder lernen wollen!
