Archery Range
Team Zoom:
For this challenge, each member of your team needs to shoot three arrows! The arrows do not need to be bullseyes, but do need to hit the target. Shoot until you make it, but try to get as close to the center as possible. Remember, each challenge should take at least 20 minutes of roleplaying.

Abigail dashed into the archery range with Mabel, smiling and laughing. She spotted a piece of paper with three bows and three sheaths full of arrows. She walked over to the paper and picked it up, then started to read
Lochlyn was the first there and picked up a bow and arrow. Guess I should've listened to mom's lessons. . . He shot one but it only just barely made the target. "Um . . . guys?" He said nervously. There were only 12 arrows. "I might not be able to do this one."
Abigail picked up a bow and examined it, then set it down and held out her hands. A book called 'Beginners guide to Traditional Archery' appeared in her hands and she grinned, then opened the book
He was embarrased to have been confident in himself before, but suddenly he had an idea. "Abigail, could you summon a book on a specific ethereal power?" He asked.
Abigail shrugged. "It depends. I've done it before, for Elsa, but you'd have to describe the book." Abigail said, still reading the archery book. She set the book down and picked up the bow, then notched and arrow and aimed for the target. The arrow bounced off and fell to the ground. "So close, yet so far." Abigail murmured
((So I was wanting Lochlyn to eventually learn he could harden his rainbows into a forcefield and bridge type thing, so do you think it would be possible for Abigail to summon a book on how to use his powers? Or would that be too easy (the forcefield/bridge do break after a certain time and he'd have to learn to use it))
"Ok.." He said. Looking at the book for beginner archery, he felt very pressured. For the team . . . He thought.

(Yeah, I think it'd be fine if Abigail summoned a book, and maybe Lochlyn had to practise the rainbow force field for a bit before he could actually use it?)
((yeah, yeah! Thats what I meant by 'he'd have to learn to use it' :D ))
(Ahh Mmmk kk :P)Abigail looked over at Lochlyn. "I can summon the book if you want." she offered, notching another arrow and shooting it at the target. It stuck in the outer ring of black and Abigail smiled. "One down, two to go." she said happily
((sry about this but I have to go, I need to get school done :( ))
((Hey! I'm back if you guys are here!))
((sorry bout that, I'm here!))
Mabel had been standing back, watching and silently panicking. She was nervous, she had never even touched a bow and arrow before, let alone trying to shoot one. She took a deep breath and walked up to pick up the bow. She didn't want to disappoint her team, but it looked like she wasn't the only one who wasn't quite sure how to do this.
Abigail looked over at Mabel, then picked up the book. "You can read this if you want. It helped me a little." she said, nodding to the arrow that stuck in the ring of black in her target. She pushed her hair out of her face and turned to Lochlyn. "What book did you want me to summon?" she asked
((I might be slower to respond than usual, since I'm in orchestra class right now, but I'll try!))
Lochlyn looked back at Mabel and noticed her nervousness. I have to help my team! He raised his bow and picked up another arrow. I can do this. He shot his arrow and closed his eyes, but opened them when he heard it hit the target. It was on the third outmost ring, but Lochlyn smiled at it. This time he actually hit it inside the target, no just the outskirts of the ring. "Yes!" He muttered to himself, picking up another arrow. He heard Abigail ask him something and turned around. "Hm?"

((That's ok! I'm in a class right now too, so I might take a little longer))
Mabel smiled, and gratefully took the book from Abigail. She skimmed through a few pages about holding the bow, pulling back, and aiming, then decided to take a chance. She heard a thump, and turned to see Lochlyn's arrow sticking out of the target. "Nice!" she said, grinning, then picked up her own bow, carefully notching the arrow.

Abigail looked over at Lochlyn's target and nodded in approval. "Good job." she said with a smile. 'One down, two to go.' she thought. She picked up the archery book and read a few more pages, then picked up her bow and grabbed an arrow. She shot her arrow, but it fell short of the target by a few inches
((Um? XD I dunno if thats how that works, what do you think Natalie?))
((I assigned your character to a team, he is on Team Dash))
Lochlyn stared for a few seconds at Abigail confused. I could've sworn she asked me something. . . ? He looked at the target and casually shot an arrow, missing the target by a few inches. It went pretty far, meaning Lochlyn just watched as his arrow went off into nowhere. Yeah . . . scratch what I was thinknig before, I suck at this. He kept shooting arrows and was now at his fifth one.
((Go to your team page and ask if anyone is there to roleplay))
((Maybe PM them? It looks like Firefly was on yesterday. I've PM'd the people who made those characters before, they usually respond. If you can't, go to a RP group they're usually on and ask in the chat or in RP requests under parentheses))
Mabel raised the bow up and turned sideways, drawing the string back to her ear. She did her best to line up with the target and let go. The arrow sped towards the target but missed it by a foot and landed off in the grass. She sighed and bit her lip, grabbing another arrow and planning to move her aim to the right a little bit.
Looking ahead, he clenched the bow tighter and shot another arrow. He was able to get it on the second innermost ring. What is this, a game of luck? Lochlyn thought, looking at the arrow in disbelief, just then he noticed Mabel's arrow shoot past the target onto the ground. "This is going to be a nightmare to clean up," He said, looking miles into the distance, in which 3 of his arrows fell in random places.
((I've got to go eat lunch before my next class- I'll be back in like 20 minutes, see you guys later!!))

Mabel laughed and picked up another arrow. Despite the challenge, this was actually really fun, and her teammates seemed super nice. She smiled and raised the bow once again. Taking aim, she let go and the arrow struck the arrow right on the edge. It almost didn't hit, an inch further and it would've gone flying out into the grass once again. "Yes! All right!!" she cheered, pumping her fist in the air and jumping in a tiny circle.
Abigail picked up her bow and grabbed another arrow. She notched her arrow and pulled the bowstring back, pausing to get her aim right. She let the bowstring go, sending the arrow into the red ring of the target. Abigail smiled and brushed a few strands of hair away from her face
Lochlyn sat on the ground watching the girls. And he sat. And sat. After 10 minutes of boredom he sighed and stood up. "So, how long you two known eachother?" He asked.
Abigail shrugged. "Didn't we meet on the Apple tree path? I can't quite remember." She said. She grabbed another arrow and took a deep breath, then notched it and pulled the bowstring. 'Last one Abigail. You've got this.' she thought, releasing the bowstring. The arrow shot through the air and landed at the edge of the yellow dot in the middle of the target
Lochlyn eyes widened. "Woah, nice!" He said, looking at the arrow, but then turned to Mabel. "You've got this! We're almost done!" He said, raising a fist in the air.
Abigail set her bow down and smiled at Mabel. "You got this." she said, giving Mabel an encouraging nod. She walked over to her target and picked up all of the arrows that had fallen nearby, then put them back in her sheath. She settled down on the grass by Lochlyn and smiled at Mabel again
Mabel nodded. "Yeah, it was after that horrible fear accident thingy," she said wincing. She picked up another arrow and blushed as they encouraged her on. She took aim, using what she had read in the book, and the arrow hit on the outer black circle. She grinned, happy that it had made it further in than the previous one, and picked up the final arrow.

The archery range has multiple targets scattered across the area. There is a wooden platform to shoot from, with quivers and bows, and benches for those waiting or watching.
